Day 4
I awoke first today and couldnt see the clock so I gently woke Cuthbert by kicking him. He said it was 7am. He turned the lights on which woke the children. They quickly got dressed and then went to the market to purchase breakfast for us all. Before they went Dixie showed us some re-fillable cups she had purchased last night. Apparently you can get free drinks at the market. She asked if I would like some coffee in mine but I told her I couldnt possibly drink from plastic so she suggested going into the shop and purchasing me a real cup. She can be extremely thoughtful, she takes after me.
By the time the children had returned Cuthbert and I were up and dressed. Today I had chosen his clothes. He looked just like a sailor, he had smart navy shorts with a stripy navy and white t-shirt and white ankle socks which complemented his navy plimsoles. He looked adorable and was dressed the same as Amos so it would be easier to keep track of them in the busy crowds. Dixie was wearing a navy and white sailor type dress. Cuthbert said they looked like something from Popeye, I told him in no uncertain terms that I was not Olive Eye. Breakfast consisted of rainbow toast, rainbow cake and egg washed away with blue iced tea. I skipped to the bus stop where once again it was full of other persons. It was far too hot to stand in the line for the bus, there is no shade so we sat on a bench and when the Animal bus came we walked straight to the front and entered behind the first family. The second family in the line angrily asked what we thought we were doing. I told them I would have thought it obvious, we were going to the Animal Kingdom. Honestly, some people do ask crazy questions at times. We were fortunate to get a seat, again it was packed to bursting point. Some of the persons in the queue couldnt even get on the bus. I thought it very sweet of them to wave to us as we left.
Arrived at the Animal Kingdom and walked to the turnstiles where we had to enter our tickets and go through. We managed this without any problems. Amos got an atlas of the park and said he wanted to go and see the safari animals. I explained the animals would be having their breakfast so we should go in the afternoon when they would be out playing. Instead we went to the Insect show. I had to go in myself. Seems the children are still traumatised from their last visit here. I thought the therapist had sorted this problem. Next we went and rode the Dinosaurs. Amos really enjoyed this as he was a dinosaur in a previous life, Dixie and Cuthbert were scared. I read the atlas. When we exited this ride we went onto the Primeval Spinning thing which was great fun. Cuthbert was predictable and vomited in his satchel, we emptied it in a trash can when we disembarked.
Went to see the Tarzan and Joan show next. The performing persons were all on roller skates and skate boards. They were so much fun, Cuthbert got dizzy. So did I but I was dizzy over Tarzan and asked Cuthbert why he didnt have a body like that. He replied that it was my fault so I told him I would phone Harley Street and order him a new one. Visited the Lion King Palace later and had a wonderful time. All those bright colours gave me a headache so I went to first aid afterwards and filled in 200 forms to get an aspirin and a lie down. Once I was feeling fresh again we went for lunch in a pizza parlour. I was expected to eat with a plastic fork and knife, I found this totally unacceptable so Cuthbert fed me, bless. Whilst we were eating Dixie said we had to collect her shopping tomorrow at the Popular Century market. She had bought a pen for her therapist, bless, and had it delivered to save her carrying it. Amos whinged and groaned about going to see the animals so we went there next. The line was huge but Cuthbert said we must wait. I said I would be bored, Cuthbert suggested a game so we played Check out the awful clothes some people wear. It was great fun and the line went down really quickly as so many persons left.
After 40 minutes we finally boarded a truck and the driver stood up, turned around, looked directly at me and said in a very firm voice, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISEMBARK THE TRUCK IN THE SAVANNAH. I put up my hand and asked if we were allowed to stop for personal photos of the animals, I would really like one of the children with Simba. He said it wasnt allowed but should I find a way of getting up close with Simba he would love to witness it. How kind!!!
We never saw many animals, apparently they were all sleeping as it is too hot for them. Amos and Cuthbert were dreadfully upset so I marched them straight to Guest Relatives to complain. Again I was told it was too hot for the animals. I suggested they provide air conditioning in the savannah to which the CM nodded and said they would note the suggestion. I also suggested that if the animals dont like the heat and the sun could they not do what we do to our sheep and shave off their coats, they will grow back in the Winter after all and provide them with sun hats.
We left the park after this fiasco and entered the Rainforest for an early dinner/late lunch. After appetisers and the main course I told Cuthbert I was going to the restroom. I did, the tiny little one in our room at the Popular Century. After I had been gone for 1 ½ hours he phoned and asked where I was. I told him and he said I needed to return as I had the credit card and he couldnt pay. I told the stupid man to let Dixie charge it on her room card, honestly. They returned to join me about 5pm at the Happy dappy pool bar where Cuthbert and I sang the night away. Dixie and Amos played happily in the water and at the play area. At 9pm Dixie even brought us some dinner from the market. I sent Amos to the tiny room to fetch my real cup and then Dixie showed me where in the market one collects their coffee from. A CM had the cheek to tell me that I could only fill those plastic things in the market. I bought another one and poured it directly into my cup and then threw the plastic monster into the bin. The CM told me that wasnt necessary. Honestly what do these persons want you to do!!! After dinner (cheeseburgers and potatoes) followed by rainbow cake Cuthbert and I stayed at the bar until closing time and then went to bed. I was awoken by the children returning from the pool around 1am. I reprimanded them for being out so late and sent them to bed. Dixie asked if we could go to the Movie Studios in the morning. I told her we would see as daddy and I were going to ride the scooters in Epcot.
