Cute thing my husband said today

So we went in for our big ultrasound today and we found out we were having a little girl. We already have a boy who is 5 and I was SO SURE this baby was going to be a boy as well. Well, when the Dr. told us we were having a girl one of the first things that my DH said was "oh, now we can take her to the bibbity bobbity boutique!" it was so cute. We were just at WDW last week and were just gaga over the little girls getting all done up so it was just so funny that it was one of the first things he said when we heard the big news.

I'm sure ultrasound technology has come a long way since 1995...but our doctor told us DS14 was a girl right up to the day we (she) had him. My wife thought I was lying when I said "its a boy."

Yeah - that happened with my son too. The Dr. told us that he was a girl when we went in for the unltrasound and when we went in for a 3-D one a month later they were like "umm, this is NOT a girl". This time I am pretty confident as the clinic was a perinatal clinic and all they do all day long is look at this kind of stuff. It was pretty clear to me as well since this time I knew what to look for. Definately saw the "hamburger". But we will be going in for a 3-D ultrasound with this one as well. Just to make sure. LOL

We have a 3-week old daughter and my DH was excited about being able to do the BBB also. Our next trip is in November and he thought she could go then. She'll be 6 months old! I told him HE would have to wait a few years. : ) He's decided to do the Pirate League w/ our 6 year old son this time though. I think he enjoys these trips more than the kids do!!

I have a firstborn son and second-born daughter, as well. It is so nice to have one of each. I had several u/s during my pg with my dd due to having a high-risk pg, and every single time I made them check to make sure she was "still" a girl! Only after my 35 week u/s did I start giving away my ds's baby clothes!

I know, our first is a boy and I am glad about that too. But it will be nice to have a little girl who wants to do that kind of stuff.
