I'd need a step ladder to get into one of those things :rotfl2:

Not a Hummer H2, but a Denali XL here! We do have I think two parents at our school who drive Hummers. I think now the H3, cheaper version, is out, we'll be seeing more. Kinda like the C class Mercedes, X (or is it S) Jaguars. It seems people have those cars to "have" those cars, if you know what I mean!

I don't like the Hummer - it's not *pretty*, IMO.

I only know one person who drives a hummer. (I do see more..but only know of the one). She lives in what basically amounts to a mini mansion on a canal with boat and access to the river.

And she has a live in maid/nanny.

They have a rediculous amount of money. Her power bill is as much as my mortgage.

Though I don't know all the differences in all the hummers--I am sure she has one of the higher end ones. It ain't the petite hummer.

Don't think I'll ever be driving one. After hubby dies of laughter from the request, a quick analysis would indicate that in lieu of car payment, that we will keep paying our mortgage instead.

I only know one person who drives a Hummer and he is a car dealer, so that doesn't count!

Well... there are a lot of Hummer H2 here in the suburbs, and I swear every time I take a peak at the driver, it's a woman.

My mom had a theory.....I believe it too!!

The bigger the vehicle the more the lady is compensating for what is or isn't going on in the bedroom. :teeth:

I admit it ... I'm 5'3" and I think the Hummers are hot. This probably stems from my years of driving in Manhattan and fantasizing about running over other cars. That being said, I think I would have a coronary event at the gas pump if I ever bought one.

H2's are so yesterday's news. When they first came out, there were at least a half-dozen on my block - and yes, they were all driven by SAH moms. Now, almost all have moved on to Cadillac Escalades. I have, however, seen at least one H3 on the block, so who knows, Escalades may also be a thing of the past.

I drive a Beetle. :rolleyes1

Here (coastal mid-atlantic region) the SUV has always been the practical vehicle to own. The latest trendy models would be the Denali XL, the Escalade, and the Navigator. The most widely owned would have to be the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe and the Ford Explorer and Expedition. The born and bred locals around here have rolled their eyes at the civilian Hummers.

I love my shiny black 'burb. :thumbsup2 But I am 5'10 and relish the body space.

ever heard of the song "90 pound suburban housewife drivin' in her SUV"?
http://www.90poundsuv.com/
CHORUS
90 pound suburban housewife
Drivin' in her SUV
Talkin' on her cell phone
Oblivious to you and me
Kids in the back seat watchin' the
little T.V.
She's a 90 pound suburban housewife
driving in her SUV.

I couldn't imagine living in FL driving a Hummer. We have a Tahoe but we actually get snow in the winter, thats why we have one.

Seriously, DH and I looked at an H2 right before the gas prices started to rise. The dealer wouldn't go down any , we walked out and the H2 is still sitting on the lot. I really like them but at 10miles to the gallon and gas at $3.00 a gallon , I'll live without one.

There are two H2s in our neighborhood and I have noticed they are parked more than driven. Overall, though, most SAHMs here drive minivans.

I rarely see Hummers. I see MAYBE one a month on the highway going to or coming home from work. I don't like them.

I drive an SUV, but it's not a Hummer. Something about the tiny windows.....they seem like giant metal coffins to me. :guilty:

No, I don't see many Hummers around here.
At our school we have a couple of Escalades, a Jaguar sedan, enough Lexus to start our own dealership -- and a couple of Navigator/Expeditions.

I drive a Mercury Mountaineer. Wooo Hooo, not that hot. I don't think DH would let me buy a nice car until I learn to keep one clean.

I see them around, usually there's a guy driving but a fair amount are women. One guy has an original Hummer and I can't imagine how he can see anything- some day he's gonna hit a kid on a bike.

A family in town has a bright yellow H2 but it's for their business (a gym -logo is painted all over it.) Still, the mom drives it to pick up the kids often enough that it's more of a family car.

Now it's the Porsche Cayenne I see everywhere. I just don't see the point of a $60,000 or more SUV, but then I drive a 10 year old Caravan, so what do I know :rotfl: .

We have quite a few soccer moms driving H-2s and H-3s. They are pretty commonplace around here. The new thing is those huge tractor trailor wannabe trucks. I think they are called F-750s or something like that. They are even becoming popular here and they are uglier then the H-2s. My DH used to have an H-2 but I couldn't even see over the hood to drive the thing. I'll stick with my cute MDX!

I'm 5'1 and I think Hummers are hot! I just want to be the biggest thing on the road, running over guys in sports cars that always cut me off....But I know I can't get one! I need a little step even to get into a Nissan XTerra (I *almost* bought one)!

You don't see nearly as many Hummers here as there used to be. We do have one family that has personalized plates "Her H2" and "His H2" .
Mostly Moms drive vans or Suburbans or some type of SUV.
