Cute Easter Idea

My friend was telling me about something she has done every since her kids were little (now 19, 21, and 22). After the kids went to bed she would hide their easter baskets somewhere then she would take her big footed slippers and rub flour all over the bottom of them and make footprints on her hardwood floors leading the children to the baskets. (footprints were the Easter Bunny's feet) ...I thought it was a cute idea and I have hardwood so I thought I might give it a try this year!!

Just wanted to share for those of you who still have little ones..

I don't know what you would do for carpet maybe leave a trail of carrots or jellybeans (this would not work if you had pets...lol)

Last year the Easter Bunny spilled his eggs from my DDs bed to the living room where her basket was. He left a note by her bed asking her to please pick up the eggs before her mommy saw the mess he'd left!

the bunny left footprints too....but they were made by talcum powder...I would press my thumb into the powder and then onto the dining room table, then I would do four smaller prints around the main one....the bunny always did this across the table, where he would leave a dish of brightly colored hard boiled eggs in the center of the table....now they do it for their children!!!! Happy Easter....Barb

I tried the flour, and it would not stick to the floor...so I got out the baby powder and it worked like a charm...The girls got up and saw the prints and started screaming VERY LOUDLY at 6 am "THE EASTER BUNNY HAS BEEN HERE AND HE DIDN'T WIPE HIS FEET"... They know mommy is a clean freak I guess..
