Customs and Propellar Planes

I will be going to Toronto for the first time on Sunday for work. I'll be meeting another co-worker from another city at the airport.

Has anyone ever been on a propellar plane? How bad is it?

Also, how do you go through customs at the airport? I've only been to canada before by car.

I have. Last month we flew from Montreal to PEI, and back, and both times it was an RJ..

On our way there we encountered a huge storm, and had quite the amount of turbulence. On our way home, it was smooth as anything.

I was not worried about feeling movement, rather curious, and I have to say that I felt nothing different than being on a Boeing, but maybe it is me

Customs you will clear once you disembark. There will be signs to follow getting you there. They crew should hand you a form to fill out on the plane, if they don't, you can fill one out while waiting in line. They will ask you the same questions as any other border; what is your trip for, how long, what do you have to declare, etc, etc... IT is pretty painless. Except for that HUGE Toronto airport.

What type of prop is it? Is it a normal commuter airline prop or a small private one?

Usually they fly at lower altitudes (this depends on the plane) and so you can see the ground when you are flying. A different perspective. Also they are more cramped. But one HUGE benefit can be, if there are delays at your destinantion airport, they usually apply to jets only, and they let the props go. So that can be a bonus.

This is a commercial flight, but a coworker said its small. One seat on each side of the plane. If anyone knows of any good restaurants near west queen street in Toronto, let me know.
