Customized maps to Canada..please WDW

Does anyone else feel left out that we can't get the beautiful customized maps from Disney.
If its a matter of shipping costs, I'd pay the 5 bucks or whatever to have them for our trip or as a keep sake.
How do we get WDW to start letting us have them? LOL

I want all things Disney...is that too much to ask?

I really want to order them as well. Why can Disney send a DVD package across the border for free and not a few paper maps??? I would be willing to pay a FEW bucks for them.
I was considering ordering them and having them sent to my resort but the time-line it takes for Disney to mail them out seems very inconsistent according to many posts here on Dis. I don't think the resort will hold anything for more than a week? (anyone know for sure?)

I wrote in and asked them why I wasn't able to get the maps sent to Canada. They just said something like "at this time, maps are only available to US residents" or something. Nothing that was really a reason why they didn't send to Canada.

Perhaps if enough people write in asking about it, it may give them a heads up that there is a desire for it here. Can't hurt to shoot off an email.

We had the maps sent to DNiece in the US and she had them within a week or so, couldn't believe how fast she rec'vd them. So that made us think that if we ordered within a month of the trip and had them sent to the resort w/ our check in date, that would be pretty close to a sure thing?

This was brought up a few years ago. The reason one person got was.... It's because it's not disney who offers this but a outside company and they do not ship to Canada. Disney does but they dont. If you have a friend in the US you can get it sent to them. Some people even managed to figure out how long it would take to have it delivered and had it sent to the hotel while they were at Disney. A few made it some didnt.

Actually, i did allt his searching before our last trip. The last poster is correct.

Disney's answer to me was that it was a third party printer that makes these for them. They actually DId give me the name of the place and I contacted them directly. THEY in turn bluntly told me that no, they do not ship to Canada. Too bad Disney's signature customer service doesn't extend to their partners.

Candielips, they are customized Walt Disney World® Resort maps.
You can order a set of up to 5 keepsake-quality maps (each park plus overview) but right now they don't ship to Canada. You can print them at home or you can try to coordinate the shipping to coincide with your resort stay. HTH!
