Just had to vent here...........and I am sure it has been brought up before but...............Is anyone else sick and tired of calling numbers for accounts etc that they have and getting someone who cannot speak clear English!! My mother passed away a year ago, I called all of her accounts and closed them, but I still get a bill from one Visa card that was paid off the same month she passed, threatening to put her in a collection agency unless she paid their annual fee.............hello? The account has been closed and no activity since then, I have talked to these people twice and today was the third I finally got so fed up with the operator that I asked to speak to someone who spoke clear english since that is the native language of THIS country! She wanted me to send death certificates etc, which has all been done a year ago.........finally got someone who did speak english and hopefully it is cleared up. I wish there was some way to find out what companies that I deal with outsource their customer service depts overseas because if I knew I would probably close acct to those. I am a firm believer that if you are in this country then you should speak this language, and don't agree that we need to cater to the ones who refuse to learn it!.............Heck if I went to their native countries and wanted to live I would have to learn their language or be out of luck!!!! Sorry, I am just so steamed having to try and understand basic answers to basic questions!
