Custom Wedding reception at 'Ohanas?

Hi Folks!

Do any of you know if a custom wedding reception can be held at 'Ohanas with 50-90 people? I was hoping to do this and follow it with an Illuminations dessert party, but I can't seem to find any info about numbers for 'Ohanas.

I don't know the answer specific to O'hanas, but the main problem you would have is reaching your minimum food and beverage expenditure for a custom. You would still have to reach the $75 for breakfast/lunch or $100 for dinner. Sorry I can't be more help.

Does the dessert party add towards that total? Or is it just the meal itself?

It is everything on that day. Some people have had their rehearsal dinners count towards the minimums. Maybe you could see what it would cost to buy out the restaraunt. Though that might be very expensive. I would just ask your WP.

They are counting our brunch, dessert party, cake, and toast towards our minimum. With all of that we just reached the $75... we're at $77.50. Although, I should mention we aren't having alcohol; our toast is nonalcoholic.

Depending on the time of day, you may have to buy out O'Hanas to have your reception there. I know many brides have had their rehearsal dinners at O'hanas and intimate brides have had their reception there, but they are generally dealing with groups of 20-30, not 50-90. So, if its even possible, I would be prepared to have to buy out the restaurant, in addition to meeting your F&B minimums.
