I will be in WDW for a few days before Easter until a few days after. So I am *very* concerned about crowds- especialy since we will have our 9 mo old DD with us. So I am thinking about buying the custom touring plans from the unofficial guide website. Has anyone does this and is it worth it?

THanks

I started a thread a while back asking whether the touring plans were any good. Had about 25+ responses saying YES YES YES YES YES AND YES! If you buy the Unofficial guide by Bob Sehlinger (costs $17.99) you'll get loads of great tips, a good read and a selection of touring plans for Disney, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures as well as info on hotels, restaurants, nightlife and lots more.

They say in the book that the touring plans in the Unofficial Guide are the most efficient. But you still may decide to get the customised ones. I think you should have a look at the book first though.

I have the guide- buy it every year lol! But since it will be so crowded and we arent going to be in the park from early to late - we want to take afternoon breaks, stop for meals etc. I thought the plans would be helpful for taking a less ehctic pace but not having to wait on outrageous lines

Thanks so much for your response- glad to hear they are good, hmm...

I use the book and try to go at off peak times but if I were going in a busy time(i.e Holiday period or Summer) I'd buy the plans.

Hi skippelm,

Thanks for your interest in the Guide's touring plans. As debkorb1 notes (thanks!), the plans in the Guide are the best general-purpose plans available anywhere.

Some free advice: If you've got more than one day to devote to the Magic Kingdom, splitting that park up into one-and-a-half or two days does wonders for cutting down on waits in line, and lets you throw in mid-day breaks easily. So check to see whether you can adapt the Two-Day Touring Plan for your needs before ordering a customized plan. Not that we wouldn't love your business, of course.

If anyone's interested in testing a new version of the two-day plan for the MK, drop me a line: testa@ncat.edu. It's EMH- and holiday-proof. In return, we'll ask you to fill out a simple form as you follow the plan. And the plan should be ready mid-April.

Sincerely,

Len
