Custom sketch by Disney Artist??

I'd like to memorialize my grandfather with a one of a kind sketch by a disney artist.

Does anyone know of any place(s) at WDW that you can ask a disney artist to do a sketch ??

If so any idea of Price ( not really concerned if I can get what I want)

I know you can go to DTD to the Art of Disney Store and talk to one of the artists there. They're usually there until about 6 or 7 at night. I'm pretty sure MGM has one as well at their Art of Disney, and the one at Epcot might.

I believe those artists only do Disney characters. Anyone know for sure?

I spent quite a lot of time talking with one of the artists in the DTD Art of Disney, just asking about his job and how he got into it, etc.

The artist, whose name I think was ... Gene, showed me a lovely piece he was working on; a "new" sorcerer Mickey and an "old" Mickey joined by a rainbow looking spell. He let me take a picture of him working on it!

In the foreground of the picture, I can see the price chart for the 'Disney Character Sketches': $35 and $65 ... they have books full of characters to pick from. It's the cheapest because the artist is basically just copying, and doesn't have to create anything new.

Custom artwork, IIRC, is in the $90 to $120 range and you can probably get more expensive stuff, too, just by offering.

I've never seen anything *but* Disney art from the Art of Disney artists, but they would probably be "allowed" to put non-Copyrighted-non-Disney images in their art; like Mickey on a train or airplane.

I saw an Artist do this at the Art of Disney store near the entrance to Epcot on my last trip and I'd be willing to bet the artist at the Magic of Disney Animation at the Disney-MGM Studios does that as well (or the artist is paid to sit there and draw for amusement).
