I know people have custom cakes made all the time... but what about centerpieces??? I have a few pictures I've found online and was wondering if Disney 1) made customized centerpieces, and 2) if they charged a ton extra for it! Thanks.

I think most of the centerpieces you see are customized. I know there are a few standard centerpieces on the WDW Florist's website, and maybe the floral coordinator has a book of ideas, but it's not like with cakes where they send you a list to pick from (at least, it wasn't for us). They don't have a set list of centerpieces that cost X amount and then charge you a bunch extra to customize them.

I think most people tear pictures out of magazines or describe their ideas to floral coordinator and she works with them to create what they have in mind within their budget! :thumbsup2

I just found a picture on the internet of a table with a centerpiece that I really liked, and my florist said she would replicate it exactly for me. We also changed it a little to suit my theme, and she was really helpful and seemed to get exactly what I wanted. I don't think my center pieces or table decor are particularly overpriced either.

I just went in to my PS with mag pics and ideas and the florist was awesome and worked with me. I also told her I wanted to keep it super cheap but still within the theme, and she was able to do both beautifully with my ideas! :)

Thanks everyone, as always, you've been really helpful. Does anyone happen to have any pictures of what they had Disney make and maybe the comparison picture of what you gave Disney? And perhaps any price ranges?

I didn't have many photos for her for centerpieces, and the photos I did show her we didn't use lol. But this is what Disney came up with and I loved it!!

I told them I wanted my ceremony aisle decor to double as centerpieces for half the tables in order to save money. I also told them I wanted a 'winter' themed floral, so 'winter' products were neccessary, but I also wanted to stay within my color scheme of blue/silver/white. So red poinsettias were out of the question! We came up with 'white' poinsettias, and I asked them to spray the edges light blue to coordinate. I also needed a small centerpiece (wedding rules, should have tall & short centerpieces...dont know where i read that but it was a good one!), so I asked if we could do pine cones painted silver in a silver bowl. Here is what we got: (and for SUPER cheap!!! Since pine cones are cheap and poinsettias were in season!)

These were our pine cones:

When I went for my planning session I gave Rose this picture for the centerpieces that I wanted. I think I found this picture on the Knot.

Of course we changed around my flowers and colors but this is what they did and I loved it.

Those are really cute! I like the December feel they had. Are those all little stuffed animals?

This makes me feel better! I like yours more than the picture you gave them. It's always hard when you love something to duplicate it better, but I think they did.

Thank you! I was really happy with how they turned out!

thank you :) Yes, they were characters from World of Disney, another WONDERFUL SUPER AMAZING disney bride helped me get them. We used them as our table markers/names.

The stuffed animals in the silver and blue were perfect and so unique!!! I loved them.

We told Laura that we wanted fun, whimsical and non-traditional, with Disney touches. Our colours were blue and green, so we wanted to stay in the blues, greens, purples and yellows...no pink, orange, red, unless using pink as an accent and hot pink only. I also said that I loved things that lit up! I sent her these mainly to show the bright colour effect I was going for...loved how fun the candy looks in the first one.

Most of those flower pics were from sierraflowerfinder.com which was a really cool website as you could look by colour, etc.

And this is what we ended up with!

The last two were on our table at the ceremony and they added the light up stars for the reception. I was super thrilled with our reception floral!

My mom makes really gorgeous cinderella coach centerpieces with a bride cinderella in the center with all of your flowers. They are breathtaking! She got so many compliments on them when she was making them for my wedding that people kept telling her to sell them so now she is to try and make a little extra money since our family is a victim of the economic crisis

pm me if you're interested. She charges $60 for them

This came from Disney floral. I really wanted to keep it :rotfl: They had it waiting for us on the table at YSH for our reception dinner.
