Has anyone managed to keep their Custom Wedding right at the 10K minimum?

If so I would love to hear details or read your PJ/TR

My mother agreed to 10K, not sure what his family will contribute.

I am just fine with an escape to keep costs down but am wondering if Custom can be done without going over budget.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

~Jenn

There are definately a lot of ways you can keep it to the minimum (we did not)! Just remember your minimum is before your tax and gratuity charges so you will need to spend over the $10k to Disney to meet the contract requirements.

Here was my floral breakdown. Everything is if you were to get one. Hope this helps with some ideas at least.

Flowers
Bridal Bouquet (round french light lavender roses stem wrapped 75% with Regal Purple satin ribbon, 8 single crystals, and 4 mickey crystals) ~ $225
MOH Bouquet (round french Champagne roses with stem 75% wrapped in champagne crinkled satin ribbon) ~ $100
Boutonniere (single champagne rose with italian ruscus and no wrap) ~ $10.50
Boutonnier (single champagne rose with italian ruscus and champagne crinkled satin ribbon wrap) ~ $12.50
Corsage (single light lavender rose with filler, greens and sheer Dijon ribbon) ~ $20
Refresh of bouquet and boutonniere for MK photoshoot ~ $75

Alter arrangements
triple cylinder sets ~ $15
additional charge to fill cylinder with water, a white floating disc candle, and floating light lavender rose petals in water ~ 17.25
Light lavender rose petals on the alter ~ 12.5
Unity Candle/tapers stand (rental) ~ $10

Reception
Gold tabletop candelabra with 5th candle ~ $30
Ivy swirl at base of candelabra ~ $5
votive candle ~ $2.5
Gold Charger plate ~ $6
Gold Chiavari chair with white cotton chair pad ~ $12.75
132" Wheat damask floor length linens ~ $39
9" cylinders ~ $5
6" Cylinders ~ $5
additional charge to fill cylinders with light lavender rose petals floating in water with candle on top of cylinders (at reception)~ $5.75
additional charge to fill cylinders with clear marbles, LED light at base, and light lavender rose bloom on top (dessert party) ~ $10

While I personally went over budget, I have no doubt I could have kept it to the minimum cost!

I think my wedding would have been under budget if I hadn't had the dessert party and mickey & minnie at the reception *(but that doesn't include the photography & videography that I used through outside vendors...) (Photography & videography might be the thing that will bring you over, if anything)

Having a lunch reception and no free alcohol will save you tons!

I went quite a way over the $10,000 minimum but fortunately i didnt really have much of a budget.

I would think it is possible to stick to the $10k (plus taxes and gratuity) but it all depends on what you want and how many guests your having?

we are hoping to stick to it, we have 30 guests but could be less. It is helpful with this thread though so you can guage and idea of prices of things

If we go with the Custom, it will be 30, no more then 50 tops.

I actually wanted the Escape becasue I wanted to use the difference in $$ to have special events the whole weekend with my closest guests but mom thinks we should at least see who would be interested and if we tip the 18 people scale ... then a custom wedding we shall have.

See the issue is, one side of the family are all Disney nuts but they always drive to Fla and take yearly set trips.

His side flies all the time and would be totally up to a long distance wedding but they are not too fond of Disney (not that they would change my mind...I shall have a DFTW no matter what!)

Ack!

If we do the custom then it will be the barest minimum ( which, knowing Disney, will be more grand then anything we could get around here for 10K thats for sure!)

I want to get the most bang for my buck on a budget so I was thinking that the afterparty?dessert party? for illuminations would be a great way to end the night rather then have a big rehersal the day before. (was thinking about a rehersal back home thrown by me, at my house, not the grooms parents so they can focus on helping mom pay for my DFTW)

Any other good deals? hidden freebies etc...?
