Custom avatar issues

I'm having trouble with my custom avatar. I try uploading it to the url format, it said it's too large. So I resized it to 80 x 80 and that did no good. I tried uploading it via computer, both sizes and still... nothing. It comes up as a broken picture. D:

I am unable to change/update my profile using the iPhone app, the mods may need to do some work!

Nope, I'm having a problem too. Very frustrating.
