My daughter is starting the CP next week in Custodial services. I would love to be able to purchase her shoes before she goes. Is it safe to say white leather sneakers are worn for most custodial positions? It looks like all of the custodial costumes that I have seen are white, but I haven't gotten a close look at the shoes.

During my CP in 2008 I was a custodian at Animal Kingdom and black athletic shoes are the shoes to wear. Just make sure that there are no logos showing on the shows since you can't show logos on anything for the Disney look. Hopes this help you guys out!

I believe all 4 parks use solid black sneakers (I did at Epcot). Not sure about the water parks though

In Florida, Theme Parks/Downtown Disney uses black, Water Parks uses white and Resorts vary from property to property.

In California, all Custodial Cast Members wear black.

They advise incoming CP's, regardless of role, to not buy shoes before they get down there. Trainers go over this with each person so they are clear on exactly what is and is not acceptable for their location's costume. Color, safety requirements, style, all of that.

If you scroll down on this page about the Disney Look, they added info about this on the side

I have a pair of all black New Blance athletic shoes. However, there is a "N" logo on the sides of them. Even though the shoes are completely black, including the logo, I'm guessing they are still not within the guidelines? Does anyone know for sure?

i've heard in some cases that if you have black shoes they'll makes you marker over so that they are fully black. disney is really against logos being visible. as close to black as you can get is best. also remember to get inserts and sometimes 2 pairs is best because you'll be doing a lot of walking. some of my roommates shoes had holes in them near the end of his program because of all the walking.

Yes we're wondering the same thing. We bought both ALL black and ALL white, including the logo, New Balance shoes because he is so hard to fit. If style is ok for the job, will the big "N" logo be ok? If not, what brands are you allowed to have? thanks!
