Staying at WBC. Took 15 minutes at most to get to Universal/IoA the past two days. Arrived at IoA around 8:30 AM on Thursday. Parked pretty close. Stood in line for 40 minutes to collect APs (large family group in front of us had not done their research and, in addition, each bought his ticket separately.). Park was very quiet. Waited less than 30 minutes for HP. HP area was bustling as we exited. 5 min wait for both coasters in area. Stopped for an early lunch in the 3 Broomsticks a little before 11. Plenty of tables but bustling. Full by the time we left -- many tables marked reserved by then. Rest of park was extremely quiet. Did not wait long for anything.
Returned mid-morning yesterday to visit Universal. Parked further out -- in ET. Expected big crowds, especially after ds decided we HAD to eat right then. (First seated at Margaritaville for lunch.) Entered Universal around noon, maybe a little later. Not crowded at all. Of course, Despicable Me had like a 90 min wait posted, but we walked right on to nearly everything.
Returning later this afternoon for the last Mardi Gras.
