So here is how our day went at Magic Kingdom yesterday (rope drop to park close...with a 4 1/2 hour break in the middle).
We arrived at the park at 08:37. Rope drop was at 08:52. We headed toward Frontierland. They dropped the rope to Frontierland at 09:00 and we were able to walk through Liberty Square and into Frontierland. We met a line of cast members about a third of the way in who walked us the rest of the way through Frontierland toward Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (this ensures that no one runs and more importantly no one gets trampled on the way to the rides).
09:08 - 09:14 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (we were on the second train of the day)
09:14 - 09:22 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
09:24 - 09:43 Splash Mountain
09:43 - 10:04 Splash Mountain
10:10 - 10:22 Magic Carpets of Aladdin
10:10 - 10:35 Met Aladdin and Jasmine (while my wife and the kids rode the Magic Carpets, I staked out a place in line for the meet and greet)
10:44 - 10:52 Peter Pan's Flight (FP+)
10:52 - 11:20 Watched Celebrate the Magic show
11:20 - 11:35 met Suzy and Perla (Cinderella's female mice friends...since the Fairy Godmother was otherwise occupied today, they replaced her at her meet and greet...this was pretty cool as they usually only rarely meet on certain special occasions and pop up in the parks a few times the rest of the year)
11:37 - 11:46 Watched Royal Majesty Makers and saw a really strong little boy from New York pull out the Sword from the Stone and become king. My youngest daughter was really impressed with how strong this boy was and the fact that he was able to pull out the Sword while the two adults before him failed
11:52 - 12:08 Splash Mountain (FP+)
12:17 - 12:32 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (FP+)
12:38 - 13:00 Met Gaston (hilarious as always)
13:08 - 13:20 Met Marie the Cat
After that we headed back to our resort for some pool time and a much needed break before our return that evening. We figured after the pool, the kids would take a nap so that they would be well rested for our evening adventure...it ended up being us the parents napping while the kids played quietly in the living room for an hour.
We headed back to Magic Kingdom after supper and were in the park at 18:55. After some shopping on Main Street we headed back to our favorite land (Frontierland).
19:31 - 19:49 Splash Mountain (FP+)
20:05 - 20:12 Peter Pan (FP+)
20:20 - 20:37 Haunted Mansion (FP+)
20:45 - 21:20 Splash Mountain
21:25 - 21:44 Splash Mountain (6th time of the day...a new family record for us on our favorite ride in Magic Kingdom)
21:47 - 22:03 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (FP+)... saw some of the fireworks from Frontierland and while we were walking toward Adventureland
22:07 - 22:18 Pirates of the Caribbean
22:30 - 22:53 Mickey's Philharmagic
22:56 - 23:01 Mad Tea Party
23:05 - 23:30 Main Street Electrical Parade
Then we finally called it a night!!!
Love the early morning and late night tactic... You can get so much done, and you avoid the afternoon heat and crowds.
Cheers, everyone!
