Current reviews of YC Galley??!?!?

We made a last minute change to our ADRs and added Yachtclub Galley! I searched the old threads and found some good reviews, which have me excited. After reading the menu on Allears, I think it is somewhere we will enjoy. It is myself, DH and DS (11 months). I can't wait to go and try it for the first time.

Any positive current feedback my fellow DISers can offer to help me look forward to it more, would be appreciated.

Only 18 more days till the magic!

Somewhere in the archives of the DIS podcast the hosts raved about their impromptu trip to the YCG. They didn't do an official review, though. The hosts are pretty picky about Disney food, so I trust that it's probably pretty good. I've made a mental note to eat there next time we stay in the EPCOT area.

Awww!: Someone noticed! Thanks! We've kept it a secret here at home for now. But I told DH that I had to tell someone, so now it's on the DIS. Here's hoping I can manage WDW with DD(2) and being pg. When I was pg with DD (at 11 weeks) it put a major damper on our trip.

Enjoy the YCG. And write a review when you get back, if you don't mind letting the cat out of the bag.

We had breakfast there in May. We liked it very much. They sat our party of 7 in under 5 minutes. We all had the buffet. It was very good with some nice choices. The buffet does not have the Mickey waffles BUT they give them to the kids from the kitchen anyway. Happy with the service also!

I ate lunch there in Feb and it was great.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago when the wait for Beaches & Cream was 45 minutes!. We were seated right away and have a great waiter from England. The food was very good and so were the drinks!!!

We ate there last week and it was DELICIOUS!!!!

DH got the Mixed Greens and then the Sirloin... he said his steak was great

I got the braised beef "Sandwich" which is way out of the ordinary for me since I rarely eat red meat but I'd have to say it was AWESOME I also had the mixed greens.... very good

We both ordered the blueberry cheesecake for dessert... it was presented so elegantly! and tasted heavenly

Our girls got a hot dog and the other got chicken strips followed by the ice cream sundae.

We ate both breakfast and lunch at YCG on our trip this past June. We walked up for both meals and only waited 5 minutes for a table at lunch. Both meals were great, reasonably priced, and service was just fine. It was a refreshingly quiet Disney restaurant.

We did the breakfast buffet there in May and enjoyed it very much! I went in with the intention of having chocolate chip pancakes, but once I saw the buffet, my eyes took over.
