What is the current price/point for the sold out resorts? How about SSR? Thinking about adding on about 60 points to cover our Jan. trip. Are there any add-on incentives going on?

I called a couple of weeks ago and my guide said points at Boardwalk are $92 for current members but they didn't have any. No incentives were mentioned. Probably no need if they don't have points.

$98 - $8 incentive for SSR = $90; $92, no incentive, for other resorts.

Alternatives to buying an add-on would be borrowing or renting points. Renting 60 points would cost you $600...which is a heckuva a lot less than an add-on. That assumes, of course, that you have enough points for your usual needs.

Even if you need more points, I'd be tempted to rent and wait for an add-on incentive. We recently got the 120 + 100 free incentive, which I thought was really an excellent deal.

Thanks for your advice. I think the add on route would be best for us because we really do not have enough points (only 100). My husband is reluctant to add on at this point, but no cash discounts are available and a weekend night is $500 at OKW. I think I've convinced him that adding on makes more sense.

Does anyone know if they will still let you do a one time banking allowance? Our banking deadline for 25% is today. I called and left a message with our guide saying we want to add on and hopefully they will let us bank since we called on the banking deadline. I know it's probably a long shot, so I thought our next option is to do a one time banking. This would let us add on less points and avoid financing. We'll be able to bank and borrow then. I'm really trying to avoid staying at the All Stars!

We've never rented points from someone before. I figure it will be too confusing to rent for this trip because we are staying Thurs - Tues and we have enough points for Thurs, Sun, and Mon nights. The points we need are in the middle of the trip. Plus, as I said above, we really need more points.
