Hello all,

We have 9 day tickets coming up with park hoppers attached, I was hopeful to get some insight on what guest services has provided for individuals in the same boat as I am. I'm really hoping they would accomodate with extra park days. Please share your experience and thanks in advance!

Also has anyone been able to convert tickets to AP's? I know they reopened sales partially for APs, don't know if that applied to converting tickets.

I've only heard of them offering a refund for the park hopper option, which would be $85 plus tax for 9-day tickets.

You would be able to put the refund toward an extra day, but the max ticket is 10 days. The extra day costs a lot less than the park hopper option, so you'd still get a refund.

One other note -- if the trip is before the end of 2020, you might not even be able to add the one day to make it 10, since right now they are not selling anything longer than 7. They will honor a longer ticket that was already purchased, but I'm not sure if they could add the day for you. But you can definitely get the PH option refunded.

So when I get there in a couple weeks I can go to guest services and get the difference between park hopper and base refunded?

I called in about my PH ticket and was advised to either wait until I get there and go to guest relations to get it changed, or do it a week before if I want to call in. If you change your ticket, it will become locked in to the dates of your trip, if you have to cancel trip for some reason, then you have database tickets you will be able to use as credit towards new tickets. If you wait, then your tickets would still have the 9/26/21 expiration date

That is our plan for our trip in 2 months. If PH is still DOA then we will stop by Guest Services while there and work to get a refund on our 8-day PH tickets. Question I have, is it better to try to get the refund at the start of your visit or the last day of your visit? Or does it not make a difference?

Update, I just got off the phone with ticket services and they unfortunately told me they have no way of increasing anything over a 7 day ticket. We would basically loose days to try and add or adjust the ticket, and we originally purchased these through UT so there would be no refund and we would loose 2 days and have no refund. Sad day!

I think they can't do anything for you now, by phone, because you bought from a 3rd party and the length of ticket you currently have is not available. Any change at this point will convert your ticket to current ticket rules. However, assuming PH is still not available at the time of your trip, they will be able to refund the park-hopper option once you arrive - just go to a Guest Relations location or ticket window. Nothing greater than a 7-day ticket is available for 2020 so they won't be able to add a day. You'll have to decide how much you really want that extra day, and what it might cost above the PH refund amount to buy an extra 1-day ticket.

I believe you need to do it before you first use your tickets. Go to guest services before entering a park.

I think they should bring park hopper back soon if there is room at the park. If the park is full - you can't hop to that park, but if there is still availability at that park, why not allow the person/party to make another park reservation and hop over to that park later in the day? This would be an easy win for Disney! They could still sell park hoppers to make more $$ and if there is space allow people to hop from a super busy park to a different park. This would also cause the park that was crowded to level out a bit.
