Making plans for our May trip and wondering how much of a morning priority this needs to be :) Just looking for a general idea of current wait times. Thanks!

We saw them st night around 800 pm. About 10 people ahead but that line moved soooo slowwww. Sadness truly got into character and took quite a bit of time.

i've only passed by when epcot was fairly crowded and never saw under an hour wait and once it was double that..

We met them in November. It was an EMH day at Epcot and we got there right at opening and did Soarin' and Living with the Land (they don't meet during that early hour), so just a little after 9, we got to their line and waited about 20 minutes. I know I counted the families in front of us and I think it was about 15.

The wait times will be decreasing because the backdrop is being removed. The console will no longer be a part of the interaction and will speed up the number of guests who'll be meeting Joy and Sadness.

We just went on Tues. WE hit TT and Soarin at RD and went to Joy and Sadness next (probably 9:45 or 10). It was a 30 to 35 min wait. The line got longer after us in part because it was raining and there were people taking cover in the breezeway. We didn't check back so I couldn't say what it looked like later in the day.

Just bumping this post up - we are going in Sept/Oct and wondering what wait times would be like in the evening (say around 8ish)

I don't understand. How would this speed things up? Haven't met them yet.

I didn't understand that reasoning either. The line moves slow because they take a lot of time with each child. It was a great interaction, but Joy was messing around balancing the Sharpie on her nose, then on my daughter's head. Then Sadness does her thing, then both of them together... I don't think the background effected it at all.

If they want it to go faster, they just need to tell the characters to speed it up. It's a trade off.

Disney specifically removed the backdrop so the characters and guests cannot point out things in the backdrop and interact in that manner.

Without a backdrop, it's back to the standard few seconds meet, sign, and photo without anything else added in.

We saw them second week of May and this was my absolute favorite m&g. My two boys, 11 & 9 and Joy and Sadness were so precious. The picture we have to show for this one was precious, with my boys in the middle of these two and holding hands with the characters. They were the sweetest characters we met the entire trip.

We had visited them on Tuesday June 27 around 4pm and the wait was nearly an hour. The queue was full and they were telling people getting on line that from the queue entrance it was approximately a 50 minute wait.

We went on a rainy day around 11a and it was 45 mins. I think the rain contributed people were hiding out. I didn't check back later in the evening

We went right at park opening and were 3rd in line. This was last Monday. We were done with the meet and greet and in line for Soarin by 9:10am!

We saw, them on Thursday -- it was around 6 pm and it was 30 min wait... line wasn't long but they take a ong time with each family ( the CMs said that was the shortest wait time all day)
