Do the studios have freezers? I'm considering a studio for a five night trip with just me and the kids. I'd want to cook breakfast, lunch and snacks. A freezer would be handy. Some older threads say freezers are gone.

Also what are some lunch ideas for a studio? I'm used to having the full kitchen.

Lastly, which resort would offer the best studio experience? I will be with my kids-6, 6 and 11 without a car.

I'd be interested in amy updated info about freezers also. Since BCV hasn't been rehabbed, I would imagine/hope that at least there are refrigerators with freezers in the studios.

And regarding which resort has the best studio experience that really is so individual. For example, DH's favorite is OKW and says "Please don't ever make me stay at BWV!" Others adore BWV and have NO desire for OKW.

We stayed at BLT in May and we had a fridge with the small freezer section-it isn't that big though-we just used it to keep ice packs cold-I wouldn't think you wouldn't be able to fit a lot of groceries in there at one time.

Thank you. I'm hoping to do lunches. I had the thought last night that most gift shops have a good frozen section at not too crazy prices. Ill just buy as I need for frozen goods. The fridge will hold sandwich fixings, fruit, milk, juice. Dd has a peanut allergy and we do a,lot of in villa cooking. Never been in a studio though.

Don't say that about bwv. I'm there in January. First visit.

Some studio mini refrigerators have a freezer, some don't. They only held 2 mini ice cube trays so you couldn't really fit much.

You could easily purchase the precooked chicken strips and such to add to vegetables for a nice salad for lunch. I believe even the resort giftshops have things like microwavable simple meals such as the ramon noodle cups and raviloi and such.

Depending on how you are coming can also depend on what you can bring and make. I bring some real dishes and a sharp knife but I believe you can ask for them even in a studio and can do things like heating canned vegies in the microwave to go with other foods for lunch. Hotdogs can be done in the microwave as well and can just be kept in the fridge.

Thanks for all your ideas. I love how dvc members come back to old threads to offer more help. Great ideas. I will be doing meal planning and I'm sure, even without a freezer, I can come up with four good lunches. Breakfast is easy and it's a short trip.
