Current Hours Situation Question

So I understand that Disney Parks are cutting back hours and and other things because of Shanghai running over budget thus the 11pm closing times.

Is Disneyland enforcing the closing times of 11pm on the weekdays and weekends? I know you can stay an hour later shopping but are they hard closing the rides at 11pm?

I was kind of hoping they would stay open till midnight but not post it.

I'm not positive about DL, but my guess is that it works the same way as WDW. The rides close at the stated time, but the main shops stay open one hour later.

Disney's entertainment schedule has only one day where DL is open to midnight, Saturdays.

The rule we have seen is as long as you are in line by 11 pm you can wait as long as the line takes to ride- a lot of people hit PP so they don't waste park time. I've tried to get into line a couple minutes after and they've been pretty strict about not allowing it although YMMV

I am so glad that when we head to DL for our trip rides will remain open until midnight! We are TOTAL night owls and LOVE our nights in the park

We are going July 7 - 14. Originally there was a possibility of going in June, but SO glad that those plans changed! I know it is only an hour but it really makes a difference for us.

I agree. The only good thing about earlier closings for me is that maybe I don't have to stay so late to get some night photography in with little to no people in my way. There are a few images I have been waiting to get. Also I think there are fewer people in early June. We've done just about every month. We really enjoyed July but there were wall to wall people there.

Hopefully it will work out to your advantage! It takes so long for everyone to clear out ..but if you get the shots you want it will be totally worth it! I LOVE Disneyland night photography!! July is a madhouse! We like to take advantage of summer weather and hours and our ideal time would be closer to the end of summer, but it always seems to work out better for everyone in July. The crowds are insane! And trying to move a little before/during/after the fireworks and or PTN is just plain..ahhhhh!

While the announcement was made after the parade ended, I didn't try to get on any rides after 11 so it is possible that the rides close their lines at 11 since that's the time listed in the Times Guide.

We wondered why they closed at 9 and 11:00 last night (Sunday, Memorial weekend)!! Thanks for this info! I hadn't heard anything about the hours getting cut back. I guess that also explains why the restrooms have been in the worst shape I've ever seen them!! Also saw a few overflowing trash cans around the park. SAD!!!
