Current Hollywood Studios Rope Drop and ToT FP question

Just booked a last minute trip for July 5-9, booked our HS FP for Saturday and was able to get 9:30 Star Tours, 10:30 TSM, 1:30 ToT.

Wondering 2 things:

1) What is the current rope drop time/procedure? I’ve read they’ve been letting people in about 15 minutes early, is that still happening? Would love to hit RnRC first thing since we couldn’t get FP.

2) What are the chances I’ll be able to modify the ToT FP to an earlier time on the day before/day of? I know they are very difficult to get lately due to the refurb and limited distribution of FP.

1a) Maybe.
1b) Regardless, that will be a good plan.
2) About 10-20% chance.

For 1a, I can tell you that as of two weeks ago they were letting people in well before opening (we got to tapstiles at ~8:20a for 9a opening) and holding on Sunset right by the bathrooms.
When it got close to park open, CMs asked everyone to stay behind them as they leisurely walked to RNRC and TOT.
