Current go to moderate restaurants in the Disney area?

We'll be at the Vistana for 2 weeks in August. We cook some, and have some great overpriced meals on Disney property, and are also happy at Bahama Breeze, Chevy's (and not above taco bell). Other suggestions?

Lots of options in the area. Read any one of @Gina-Gina-Bo-Bina's Trip Reports for a long list of great options in the nearby locale.

We have enjoyed deep dish pizza at Giordano's. Steak and Shake is a favorite for burgers. Sweet Tomatoes for fast, casual and (fairly) healthy buffet. All three are in the Crossroads area just up 535. Sand Lake has lots of great foodie restaurants. Prices vary widely; our top splurge there (but not outrageous) is Seasons 52.

All of the ones that bankr63 noted are favourites of ours, too. In addition to those......

Millers Ale House, Olive Garden, Chili's, Carrabbas, Flippers Pizza, and Smokey Bones are also good options, and all very close to SVR. There is a Hurricane Grill right outside the resort as well, though I haven't tried it yet (maybe in October!). Freddy's Steakburgers is great, and not far away (right by Publix near the Premium Outlets). We also like the food and humour at Dick's Last Resort, but you may want to check to ensure that kind of "fun" appeals to you.

Bubbalou's is excellent for barbecue, but a little further of a drive (its near Universal). Cheesecake Factory is another one near Universal that is a good choice. We also love Red Robin for burgers and the biggest onion ring tower you have ever seen!

Our two favorites are Sweet Tomatoes and Flipper's. We prefer the Sweet Tomatoes at Crossroads. It's bigger than the one on 192. Conversely, for Flipper's, we happen to prefer the one on 192 (in Target shopping center) but the one at Crossroads is just fine, too.

we like Miller's and also Maggianos at the Pointe. Lunch at Maggianos is something we do more than once a trip.

UNOS - We eat at UNOS on every trip. It's just outside of Downtown Disney. GREAT deep dish pizza. I also had a very good steak there. They have a variety of food to choose from. Something for everyone.
