Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

Yep. I've booked October 23-30 even though I'm not sure if we'll have free dining or not. I'm afraid that our airlines prices and the WDW ticket prices would both go up if we waited too long. Based on the PIN codes people are receiving, I'm hopeful that we'll get free dining.

Curious on this. What happens if you don't get free dining for your trip? Will you cancel? I guess I'm wondering if people are booking early in hopes of free dining so their ticket prices won't go up but then cancel if they don't get free dining or other discount?

I can only speak for our family, but we will definitely still be going.

We are booked and hoping for free dining, but will definitely still go even if we don't get it. We will just adjust the way we will be eating - more QS and less TS.

Anyone who has booked or gotten the fd code..a question. Was there a minimum night requirement? I thought you had to book at least 5 nights with the last fd. We are doing Universal for 2 nights and I wanted to stay at Disney only 3...

I would do the same. Plan as though it's not offered and then if it is it's just a bonus! Have a great trip!

Actually, I did the opposite and planned as though it will be offered. I've already made all my ADRs! If it isn't offered (which I doubt), then I'll just cancel some of my ADRs.

I called and had a pin too!!!!!!!!

I had Free Dining, with QS at values and DDP at Mods and Deluxe. My inital checking showed little availablity at the Mods, but AoA was available! I think I am looking closely at AoA. Now decisions to make.

Here are the dates for my pin directly off of the Disney website.

For check in dates

September 30 - October 4, 2012, October 19 - November 1, 2012, November 9 - November 15, 2012, November 23 - November 29, 2012, and December 10 - December 13, 2012.

There sites including the travel agents sites for the us and canada have been down a lot over the past few days.

No, it's one or the other. Package price with the 30 percent off room only saves us $500. Package price with free dining saves us nearly $1,100. That's why we're keeping our fingers crossed for another pin, or general public discount, for the week of December 8-16th.

Actually, I'm planning as if it is as well. If it's not I'll be bummed and broke, but we'll still go. We'll likely pay for things OOP and send water and a box with snacks down to try to keep our costs down. Honestly, with the QSDP only offering one snack this year, I'm thinking I might send water down one way or the other. I'd rather "spend" that snack credit on a Mickey ice cream bar than water.

It will cost you more to buy the water, snacks and then pay to ship them down, then if you went to Garden Grocer and ordered everything through them.

Can someone help me with this question?
If we book a trip for 10/4 - 10/9 and free dining comes out for general public, would we get free dining? (assuming my resort has availability)
Based on the current pins, FD is available until 10/4.
A CM told me that because our last day falls in the free dining time, that it would apply to our whole trip. Is this correct?
