Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

I'm going to go to Disney and be happy with my vacation whether I get a PIN or not. Will I be happy if I eventually get a PIN? Of course, it's great to save money. But Disney is a business and doesn't owe me free dining :confused3 We planned our vacation within our budget and free dining would just be a bonus, or maybe allow us to stay at a different resort.

I agree... it would be a welcomed bonus but we are going no matter what

For what it may be worth, I got the "PIN-less" email too. I just called and the CM told me that the emails were sent out before the PIN's had been generated, and that I should be getting another email later today with the PIN included.

I've been following these threads on PIN codes as I received a similar PIN offer a few weeks ago. Some of the differences I've noticed in what I received versus what others are now receiving...
My PIN offer came via email a few weeks ago and included the actual 15 digit code
The offer I received has a much broader list of available dates, BUT
it does not include AoA and is ONLY for quick service (regardless of room category). I will need to pay a small additional amount to upgrade to regular dining.
So, looks like there are definate plus points for each offer (of course, I only got the one I described above... lol)
I am on pins and needles waiting for my hubby to give the :thumbsup2 for me to book today!
I keep picking up the phone to call and make the ressie- I figure I could always go back and cancel later. Just don't want to lose my choice of resort since it seems that alot of PINs are beginning to materialize.
Should I just do it & hope hubby doesn't shoot me? lol Doesn't he understand how maddening it is to wait when dreaming of Disney?!! Plus, we are right at our 180 day mark to make ressies. Gosh I wish he'd just tell me yes!

I just called and no PIN for us:sad1:. We are going early December. CM was very nice and said that even though we didn't have a PIN to keep checking because they could release other offers. She also encouraged me to keep calling and checking for PINs. She was great so I did the survey and gave positive feedback :cheer2: I love when the CMs are so helpful and kind!

I have also called multiple times hoping for this pin. All CMs I spoke with seemed to agree this will go public eventually. (in their own wording;)) it seems I am going to have to exercise patience here, and its not my strong point. Especially when our dates fall perfectly in this offer.

I am a little confused as to why people think free dining will come out so early this year? It is only May - For the past 4 years the free dining offer for fall/December has come out either the last week of july or first week of august.

This page is really helpful http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

There was a rumor that it would come out May 21 or 22, which did happen, only in the form of a FD PIN. Lots of people have gotten it, but also lots have people didn't get it. I expect it to go public, but likely not before the end of July.

thanks for the clarification! I thought I was going crazy cause i know the GP free dining always comes end of july/august

I had multiple PIN Code offers in my home email this morning from Disney Destinations, one of which was for free dining select dates Nov/Dec, one of which lined up with our current travel dates. But no PIN # was assigned.

Unfortunately my travel agent doesn't work Wednesdays so I decided to call WDW reservations and found out that I did have a PIN code assigned to me and that it would be the regular DDP for a moderate level resort.

TA will need to cancel room only reservation and switch it to MYW package, hopefully it can get done tomorrow. I'm a little :scared1: right now. Even though we have a room reserved, budget wise the trip probably doesn't happen without the free dining, especially with airfare escalating.

Fingers crossed and praying for pixie dust.

Disney Confidential – Fall Free Dining Pin Codes.. well not really

Here there guys and gals Anonymouse here.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. School is almost out, people are heading to the parks, and Chip uber nerds are planning their fall Disney World Vacations.

Great news if you are one of the lucky few who opened their email or mailbox and received a blank pin code. What’s a Pin Code you might ask? Pin Codes are super secret codes handed out by Disney that have special discounts for you to spend even more money booking your Disney World Vacation. While most Pin Codes will save you money there are some out there that don’t so be careful and read this article.

Today’s dose of Disney Gossip comes to us from a smoking hot blogger named Zanna Chris. You might remember some of her articles here on Chip and Co and over on her blog Everything WDW. You can’t say Walt Disney World on her site but the WDW leads you to believe we are talking about Disney World. I had a chance to talk to Chris and she informs me the WDW actually stands for Walking Does Wonders which originally her site was a fitness site but all these Disney Nerds kept coming to her site talking about how much they Loved Disney and how they wear Crocs and Fannypacks at Walt Disney World so she had to change formats.

Anywho…

Apparently people are getting Pin Codes that aren’t really Pin Codes (unless you call Disney) in their mail and email. These codes are for free dining in the fall. Lets check out the details.

For arrivals most nights 9/30–10/4/12; 10/19–11/1/12; 11/9–11/15/12; 11/23–11/29/12; 12/10–12/13/12.

Book now through 7/28/12.
Excludes 3-bedroom villas and the All Star Music Suites; the Art of Animation Suites are included.

So far it doesn’t look like this email contains an actual “pin code” with numbers. Rather, you’ll just call Disney or your travel agent and they’ll verify that you are the holder of this promotion. We’re not sure why there are no actual codes and there’s no word on why things are a little different this time.

Word is on the street that Disney will be opening Free Dining up to the general public next month when they release the 2013 booking dates. As of right now there is Room only Packages available.

So if you are one of the lucky few you might be getting a pin code in the mail. But for the rest of us we will have to wait till it opens up to everyone sometime next month.

I know Chump Chip is chomping at the bit to plan his Jan-Feb Trip. I asked him why he goes in the winter when nobody else does and he said that he is afraid he will get mobbed by Chipmunks Fans.

Next month could be possible since the other offers have come out earlier this year than in years past. I don't know if I trust this person too much though because as several posters have mentioned, the PIN emails went out before the actual PIN#s were generated, but maybe this person wrote this article before the reason for the missing #s was known.

Only time will tell!:goodvibes

Alright, I will put in my convo with a CM, too :goodvibes

I just got off the phone with a super nice CM who said that he believes the FD pin emails that went out yesterday and today are going to "first-time vacationers" (his words!). He also said that the demographics may change a bit, and they are currently adding more email pins to the list. He said that by Sunday (at the latest) all the current FD pins will be sent out, and if I didn't have one by then, I wasn't getting one for this set of emails. He said the resorts are "not selling out at this time" because "the demographic area is so small". :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

This to me is good news.

He also said don't worry about checking your emails, just call to check. This makes me happy! :cool1:

Well the CM I just spoke to checked everyones name in my Grand Gathering(what a doll!) and said that dont worry they are still sending out emails and I dont get one that the GP offer should be out next month(her words but thats the 2nd CM to tell me GP offer in June :confused3: ) so maybe some truth to that? who knows

Hoping that a June GP release will come to fruition. If it does, there will be a whole lot of :cool1::banana::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::yay: party: and EVEN
:dancer: (I hate creepy dancing guy, but for free dining, I'll allow him to join in the fun)

Our Fall Break was moved for 2012-13 school year to a week later and we are now blacked out according to the dates posted. Looks like we will finally be giving Universal a try.

Makes me sad to go to Orlando and not visit Disney but we can't afford over $1400 dollars for tickets, hotel, food and gas for a 1 week vacation. Even off-site is getting too expensive when ticket prices, etc only go up.
