We are currently at BCVs and having a great trip. It is raining very hard right now (Tues at 5pm edt) with a tornado warning for Celebration. This is the first rain since our arrival last Friday. As to the parks I report the following:
Strollers: Not more than usual for the three majors (have not been to AK). About half the strollers I see are Disney rentals. No stroller agression has been seen.
Scooters: No more than usual. The only abuse I saw was two adult women on the same scooter on the Boardwalk going as fast as it would go and they were obviously intoxicated. Other than that one incident, nothing out of the ordinary.
Wheelchairs: I did not see a single case of anybody using a wheelchair in lieu of a double stroller.
Crowds: Somewhat light at Epcot and somewhat heavy at MK and HS.
Line jumping: Only came across one incident of it. It was quickly resolved by a cast member.
Wheelies: Saw two kids with them and both were "apprehended" by CMs who took their wheels.
Smokers: Only saw one violation of the no smoking policy and that was in Epcot at Norway.
We checked in at the Swan at 7:30 am last Friday and our room was ready. We moved to the BCV on Sunday and checked in at 8 am and our villa was ready. A sign of lower occupancy levels?
I have found all the resorts and the parks to be clean and in very good condition. All cast members I have encountered have been very friendly and accomodating.
We came down on purpose during Gay Days even though we are not gay and have found the gay guests to be genuinely friendly and nice. This is the best time to visit Disney, IMHO.
