Current Disneyland/California Adventure Maps

First off I have to admit that I really only look on the Disboards when we're officially planning a trip to Disneyland. If I look at it at any other time, I get so excited reading about everything, and then I get sad when I remember we're not going for a while. And I hardly ever comment, just because I'm not a commenter. But I do have to say that I love Disboards. I am so thankful for all the great information and tips I've received from reading everyone's posts, and I love how it gets me excited when we are going to Disneyland.

After that introduction, you can probably guess that we're planning a trip soon. We're headed to Disneyland the first week of May, and sometimes I just have to let out a whoop or a holler from the excitement. My kids think I'm crazy, because they have no idea what's going on. We're not going to tell them where we're going. Instead I'm making activity books with coloring pages and such for them to work on while we drive, and my daughter's book is going to have puzzles and things for her to figure out the places that we're going. There's going to be a "locked" section of her book (probably construction paper on both sides of the section, taped together on the edges) that will contain all of the Disneyland information and work pages. She'll be able to open that section once she's figured out that we're going to Disneyland. I'm so excited!

I'd like to put a map of Disneyland and California Adventure in each of my kids books, but I'm afraid with all of the work Disney has been doing in the last couple of years that the maps we have from our last trip are outdated. If anyone is visiting the park in the next couple of weeks and would be willing to send us a few maps, that would be wonderful.

I'm so excited! We were hoping to go this year, but we didn't know if we would be able to until a couple of weeks ago. Yea!

I'm going to bump this up for you, so that those with *current* maps can help!

I think I still have one or two sets of last summer's "nightastic" maps, but that's probably NOT what you want! Plus, the DL one has a big picture of a dragon, which might startle your 5 year old (if my 5 year old is anything to go by).


If you want to add "current" to your title, you can click Edit, then Go Advanced, and update the title so that people know you want *current* maps.


Cute idea, by the way! If I ever get brave enough to do a surprise trip, I like the idea. But I think I've cultivated a little co-planner, as yesterday he brought me a pencil and my notebook and my WDW info and said "now let's get to planning!". I think maybe a surprise trip might not work for him.

[Disney Dreams]

I have been very ill the last 2 weeks so I have not been able to make the usual frequent DLR trips (mandatory bed/couch rest stinks!). I am still under such conditions, but if no one else gets you maps by the time I am up and about again (soon, I hope), I will happily pick you up a set as soon as possible.
