Lesley passed the CD baton to Clayton after the WBTA.

I am on the October 15th cruise on the Magic, and DCL told me Leslie was doing all of the NY cruises. I have no clue if they are right or not.

All I know is that Clayton was onboard the WBTA, even though we had Lesley CD and Scott ACD. I asked Lesley about it and she said it was for the handover transition.

I also was under the impression Lesley was doing the NY cruises. Clayton was indeed onboard, saw him a few times. He was actually on my flight from NY to Barcelona. I saw him and knew I knew I him from the ship but didn't place it was Clayton the Cruise Director until I was onboard and saw him in his uniform.

Clayton and Lesley were both on for the transatlantic but Clayton is the one onboard right now.

What is the main reason so many ask who the CD is on the ship? Can they really make or break a cruise?
How will a certain one make my cruise better or worse? Thanks from a first time cruiser!

There are some who really like one Cruise Director over another. The Cruise Director really can't "break" the cruise, but he/she can make the cruise. We've had a couple of Cruise Directors that I'd love to sail with again, but most are pretty average in the Cruise Director world. There are a few we've had (not on DCL) that we didn't really like.
