Current Crowd Levels

I've been following wait times on MDE in preparation for a trip July 1-6. According to what I've been seeing, the parks seem crowded/busy. But I was just reading an article on EasyWDW about how not crowded EPCOT was just this week. Are we being mislead by Disney? Can anyone there now or just back confirm crowd levels?

EasyWDW is not affiliated with Disney so if that is the source of the "deception", Disney has nothing to do with it and is not evidence of Disney being smart. As far as I know, Disney had never published crowd level predictions and therefore has never deceived anyone on crowd levels.

The wait times on MDE aren't always accurate, remember they keep them posted then decide to give someone the magic red ticket and by the time that person gets to the CM to hand it off, the lines can change 3 times.

The article by Josh was written BEFORE the July 4th crowds started to roll in. I don't believe you can take what he found on that latest post to be any indication of what they'll be like for the Holiday weekend

July 4th week crowds are among the worst relatively, speaking of course. Although summer crowd levels are pretty high, the week prior to 4th of July is usually a bit lower than the week of. Also, EPCOT typically has a pretty low crowd level. At least in my experience it has...

Not to mention, what do they do, camouflage the crowds? Either they are there, or they aren't. I don't comprehend how they could deceive anyone about the number of guests someone sees in the parks anyway

We are here now. We came on Tuesday and it's been great. Staying at the beach club.

We went to AK on Tuesday- Epcot on Wednesday and HS today. Had a great time. Weather is great and the crowds are low.

I was able to grab a FP for Soarin at 830pm tonight after dinner. I got that while hanging at the pool with the kids aroud 4pm. For a party of 4.

I think OP was talking about the published wait times. That they didn't really match up with what Josh was posting, so is Disney being truthful about the wait times.

OP, it has been noted/speculated in several threads that it appears Disney does indeed inflate wait times, at least some of the time.
