There are things I love about all of the ships. May faves are the Magic and Wish!

Ah congratulations! What role?
I’ve just been on the Wish and Wonder, but I do remember 16 year old me riding the Aquadunk around 30 times the first day LOL.

And I’ll be Cabana Attendant at Water Parks and Resorts which is great for me I love guest facing. Previously I worked at Disneyland. But I got a full time job at Amazon in Orlando for my major in college 4 days a week. So will be working at Disney as my fun job lol.

They are in the app. I love the new outfits! So bright and colorful, it makes us feel happy and in the mood for an island dance party!
Is there anything with this print that the characters can stand by standing by the fence is not a good place IMG_5340.png

I just found this and haven't gone through all 50+ pages. However, I would be curious about some of the general employment requirements of your job. For example, when DS was an entertainment employee on another cruise line (Princess), they were contracted on each ship for 4-6 months, then got about 4 weeks off (they were flown to the airport closest to the employee's home), then assigned to a different ship for 4-6 months, repeat. Is Disney the same? Do you have time off when the ship's in a port/shore? Can you go on shore excursions? Just curious about all the particulars like that.

It’s very similar. Our contracts are around 6-9 months though. Length of time off between contracts depends as there are only 5 ships and the Casts change at somewhat similar times (eg I was at rehearsals with the new cast of 2 other ships).
Yes we get time off most port days and can do excursions or whatever we want. Sometimes we have rehearsals if these are needed.
There is a difference on Disney between being a character performer and a MainStage performer in terms of pay and accommodation.
On the ship, we have Guest privileges which means we can use the gym, pools, watch a movie etc which is awesome as not all crew have this. It definitely makes life onboard more fun

Seems like the industry standard is that performers get guest privileges, which I’ve always found interesting. On other cruise lines, performers get access to the buffet during certain time periods. Does DCL extend that privilege?

So this explains why when doing the 80's music trivia on the Wonder this past April, we ended up meeting the person who played Elsa in Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, along with her mom and dad. That cruise was her first performance playing Elsa. We ended up offered them seats at our table in the Crown and Fin, since it was just my wife and myself and there was plenty of room to share the table. We didn't find out that she was part of the cast until after we won, and her dad asked her if she already spilled the beans as to who she was. It was pretty neat meeting her and her parents and talking to them during trivia.

We have seen other cast members while on excursions, but never one that was able to mingle with the guests while not on duty.
