Current bounceback the same as the Spring vacation Offer?

we booked a bounceback for May the day we returned home on 12/29 after our CR stay. Then yesterday I was looking around to see how the rate compared to rack rate out of curiosity, and I saw that it is the exact same as we could get with the spring vacation offer. In fact, there was a view available with the vacation offer we couldn't get with the bounceback. Does anyone know if this is correct, or did the CM on the phone not actually give us the bounceback rate? I expected it to be probably 5% cheaper than the RO public offers. We did call from home the day we checked out, we didn't book while we were still checked in but the CM never said that was a problem and I thought I knew from previous experience and reading here that was legit. The BB is for POR. I will call later today to ask, but I wanted an idea if that is correct or not before calling.

I found that for us the rate with the spring promo was better than the Bounceback offer I was quoted last Monday

It is very common for the Bounceback offers to end up being the same as a later released general public discount. The thing is the Bouncebacks will usually include resorts/rooms that are normally excluded. And with the bounceback you are guaranteed, sometimes up to a year in advance, that you will be going back with a discount. No handwringing hoping and praying for a discount to be released.

Our unique code mailed in late summer ended up being the same as the current discount too. It looks like they just want to get people to lock in early but there seems to be a high likelihood that it's not going to be any better. Although there is probably more availability early.

Yes, one of the biggest difference with Bouncback lately is they include more resorts.
For instance, One of the Orleans resorts is not included with the general public FD discount but it is included with the Bounceback FD offer
And say you are there in Jan and want to return in Oct. You can go ahead and book with a discount in Jan but the public discount probably won't be out till spring.

The spring discount is 15%/20%/25% and a free park day with 4 days or more.
The bounce back is 20%/25%/30%.

Are bounce back offers given out to everyone that had a recent stay? We returned from WL CL mid December and never received anything. Was thinking of booking the Poly in May but want to see what is offered.

They are offered to every guest staying on site and only while you are on site. You must book prior to check out, or on check out day, using your current reservation number

We had no offer in our room. I even brought the huge folder of stuff home that was in the room and there was nothing in there. That's fine though as I didn't you you had to book before leaving. I'm not even sure of our dates yet. Ty
