we just returned on Monday night and we had a bounceback offer in our room - we did a room only reservation and our bounceback was for additional room only discounts into mid 2012.

Not that this will make you feel any better, but there is a bounceback offer right now. We just got home Sunday. There was nothing in our room but as advised here on these boards I called extenstion 8844 from my room. The CM I talked to referred to it as "the future stay discount". I am not sure what resorts/dates it encompassed as I only had AKL priced out for November of next year. It was a 35% room discount. Try the 8844 extension on your next visit. Sorry it did not work out for you this time

Oh no! We didn't get a BB offer flyer in our villa, either; however, I called the BB number (got it from a CM at the 1-800-W-DISNEY line) directly and got a 35% off room-only discount for next September.

Most people we spoke to at our resort didn't get a BB offer in their room - they had to call directly. I am so sorry - we only got ours because I am a pest and called the direct line. The front desk at our hotel didn't know anything about it, either.

I want to say the side facing us on the table just had the hotel name and maybe "for our guests" or something like that. It didn't have any characters on it and was just kind of a frilly looking card. I would have never known it was a bounceback had I not picked it up to move it and flipped it over and saw the other side had a calendar while doing so. The card we had was only a 35% discount for deluxes, nothing about moderates or values. It ran through the end of 2012.

Were there blackout dates? I seem to recall all bouncebacks before 2011 being ALL dates until Christmas week. Then 2011 was full of blackouts. I'm hoping they go back to the old way so we can book Thanksgiving week on a bounceback. It's out 25th wedding anniversary on 11/21 and we plan to celebrate at the world with our kids!

I was at CSR all last week (Nov 26th-Dec 4th) and had the regular bounceback card in my room. It was the yellow/gold clock with the rabbit on it. It said:

35% off Deluxe Villas and Deluxe Resorts.
30% off Moderate Resorts.

For most nights 1/1-1/5/12, 1/8-1/12/12, 1/16-2/8/12, 2/12-2/18/12, 3/4-3/10/12, 3/18-3-31/12, 4/29-5/26/12, 6/3-6/9/12, 8/5-10/6/12, 10/21-11/2/12, 11/11-11/17/12, 11/25-12/1/12, 12/9-12/15/12.

They do verify you are actually staying at a WDW resort. Not all dates are available at all resorts, so you have to be flexible. I booked three bounceback trips for next year. I had to switch resorts for my May trip, had to move my August/Sept trip back a week, and CSR was not available for my Oct/Nov trip.

Just FYI: the rates for my May CSR trip were $143.50 ad $129.50. For the Sept POFQ trip the rates were $125.30 and $114.80. For the Oct/Nov POFQ trip the rates were $128.80 and $118.30. The rate differences depended on if it was a weekend or weeknight and which season each trip fell in.

I did the exact same thing last year, when the bounce back was offered. I only kept one on the bounce back deal though. The other two I switched to the AP discounts when they came out. I'll probably be doing the same thing this time. The bounceback was 30% off the moderates, but the AP discounts are usually 35% off the moderates, plus with the AP discount I can add the DDP if I want, without having to buy one day park tickets I don't need. I always try to get at least four trips out of each AP, so just wanted to have something booked for all four trips, in case a better discount doesn't come out. I would have booked another for early Feb, if I didn't already have a room booked under the current AP discount for those dates.
