Current, Borrowed, and Cancelation order of operations

Hi all,

Sanity check please. October UY. 75 points.

We have a Dec 2017 trip planned that is a combination of 2017 UY (current) and 2018 UY (borrowed) points. I'm considering canceling the last day (24 points) so we will have an extra day at Universal. The main point I'm trying to confirm is that the process will actually release the 2017 UY points first which would then allow me to bank those points if needed. As I recall the order of operations is consumption of banked/borrowed points first and then current points last.

Pretty sure this is correct but just want to double check before I do anything that might be unwise. Thanks!

Yes your regular points should be released. If you ever have such an issue, MS will adjust your account to make it right.

You have to call MS to modify a reservation. While you're on the phone with them, confirm that the MS CM will release current UY points. They should do it that way automatically but there's no harm in reminding them and confirming that it was done correctly.
