I have been considering DVC for a while and looking particularly at Beach Club resales. I am wondering about BLT also and would love to know the current incentives, price per point, and interest rate if financing through Disney?? I have called my guide at DVC and left her a message....took the tour three years ago at Saratoga. Anyone have any info?

Current reported incentive price is $112/point. With good credit financing through DVC is in the 10.75 percent neighborhood, sometimes with a .5 percent break if you do direct deposit. Closing costs are about $300.

BLT is currently $120 a point with a $5/point incentive brining the cost to $115/point.

are the "sold out" resorts still $112 per point thru disney or are they more now?

I was just going off of what my guide told me this week. I talked to him 3 or 4 times and he sent me all current incentive papers. I would have to think if BLT was $112/point, he would have tried selling me on it. Up front money is a big concern for us and he would have told us if it was cheaper than $115/point, IMO anyways...

Weird. New purchase or add on? Add ons of less than 160 points are supposedly at $115, but there are definitely recent reports of $112 for new purchases of 160 points. Sometimes you read that if you visit a dvc resort in person, they will adhere to the incentive in place at the time you visited, even if a better one comes out later. But most report being able to take advantage of the new incentives.

Or maybe I'm just relying on news that's a couple of weeks old. Either way, I think it's worth telling your guide that people are reporting on disboards getting an $8 incentive for 160+ new purchases. If you say you're willing to commit immiediately if they give you that price, maybe it will happen for you. The worst he or she can say is no.

We just purchased at BLT at the end of December through Disney and paid $115 per point - based on $120 per point, minus $5 per point incentive. We were told that this was the best possible incentive.

We haven't officially closed yet, so I am interested if others have gotten a better deal t:confused3

Like I said, I received the lastest incentive sheet this past Wednesday from a guide, but I am definitely going to call him and find out if the $112 is true. Might not matter to us, looks like the 100pts at AKV is a little more affordable for us at this point....Let everyone know if anyone hears anything different.

I apologize if I'm giving out bogus information -- maybe it was a lingering price from a prior incentive or something that I saw, although it is curioius that dvcnews has the $8 incentive too.

I hate the whole system of incentives, since I always suspect here is a better deal available. My guide quoted $112-$15 for VGC on December 10, but I found that a webcast price was $112-$20. I only needed to say "webcast" to receive the lower price. So I feel like I got a "good deal", but who really knows.

These are the incentive prices for BLT. These incentive might have officially "expired", but were likely still valid when you started your purchase process.

We thought it was going to be $120.00 with a $5.00 incentive to make it $115.00. But I watched the webcast and wound up getting 250 points with $10.00 off per point. Thought that was a pretty good deal.
Nancy:woohoo:

We just got back from WDW and bought 160 points in BLT at $120/point with a $5/point discount (total of $115/point). We financed the purchase with a 10.75% APR through DVC (preferred rate).

We were given 2009 and 2010 points to use now, with pro-rated maintenance fees.

Ordinarily, I would have researched this all to death before committing, but we went ahead and signed up with the understanding that there is a 10-day rescission period.

So, did we get a good deal, a fair deal, or a bad deal? Were there any other incentives or discounts that others have recently received?

(I've since read on the DISboard that BLT had an $8/point discount for a total of $112/point within the last few months, but the current discount appears to only be $5/point. Is this correct?)

Thanks for any input!

Wow, we purchased 6 months prior to that. 6/2009 and paid $96 per point. I believe there was a Webinar around May that offered $92 per point. I guess that window of oppurtunity is long gone.

The price you paid $115 with 2009/2010 pts is the current best deal. There is a rumored webcast for march or april that might offer BLT for $110 (thats what I paid at the December webcast). Your guide probably can't tell you if this is true. its up to you if you want to cancel and wait. Its possible that you may get the $110 price but not 2009 points. These are the worst incentives for as long as I have owned DVC. I truely think something is in the works for the near future. I want to addon again but I am waiting to see if the webcast happens.

New to DVC, so don't mind what may be a really dumb question - but how do you find out/sign up for the webcasts? We are already looking at adding on (and haven't even had one trip home yet!).

TIA
