Booked an earlier flight because it was so cheap, so we fly in friday night marathon weekend (arriving after midnight) There are NO rooms available on site (at a rate I can afford) so we are booked at a hotel near MCO that has a shuttle. The plan is to take the shuttle to the hotel, sleep, take shuttle back to airport in the AM and then take ME to BC. here's what i'm wondering:

1. If I am back at the airport waiting for ME by 11am, what time can I expect to arrive at BC?

2. Is there any better way to get around? My Dh and my son will be heading to Universal by Uber from MCO.

3. I am thinking about taking an Uber from the hotel to a grocery store before taking ME, but I'm concerned that ME will take too long to get us to the resort and our milk will go bad. Any thoughts on this?
WWYD? TIA!

ETA: One other option would be to take Uber from the hotel to the beach club instead of using ME at all, so that hopefully the groceries would be fine. It looks like that will run me around $60, which isn't too bad. Is it worth it?

If you take a car service (we use Tiffany Towncar) they throw in a 30 minute grocery stop for free. We have used the stop in the past if we are just grabbing snacks or a few breakfast items when we stay in a regular room. When we stay at OKW with the full kitchen, we go with Garden Grocer to deliver the food. They just deliver to the resort, and the resort puts the food into the fridge if need be until we check in. Painless! Oh, and Tiffany will also go to a liquor store if you want!!!

Not sure how many groceries you need, but if it's just milk, I'd probably just buy it from the resort store, and if it's more, I think I'd use a service like Garden Grocer. Alternately, maybe bring an insulated bag so that you can store your perishables in that while on the ME? I personally wouldn't want to go to the grocery store on vacation, so I'd probably just order them from Garden Grocer.

We love not having a car on vacation because DH and I have really long and miserable daily commutes to work. On our last trip, we used Uber to get around between Universal and Disney, and used DME to get from MCO to WDW (and back). It worked just fine!

The Beach Club Marketplace has quite a few grocery items including milk and bottled water. If you only need a few items than it would be less expensive to pick them up at the BC than to pay $60 for a car service.

I would allow about an hour for DME. The timing really all depends on how long you have to wait for your bus at the airport. There have been times when I got there and got right on the bus. There have also been times when I had to wait 20 - 30 minutes for the bus.

I would not make a run to the grocery but just use garden grocer. Your resort will store your groceries until you are ready to pick them up. They keep your cold things cold for you also.
