Current Anna/Elsa situation

Nope! We were there Sunday and went into the Animation building about 1130 and waited for 5 minutes to see them. There was no line.

Does that mean there is now a standby line?

There is only a standby line. Fastpass has gone away. They were already doing this as a test when I was there late September and it seems to be permanent for the moment.

Update: Anna and Elsa have not been on speaking terms since two nights ago. Word on Main Street has it that they are competing for the attention of a new dude in their village. His name is Odgen. By trade he is a champion lumber jack. Matter of fact he has been known to build awesome log cabins with only his own bare hands. No help from anyone because he is that particular as to his work ethic. That and he is very frugal and would prefer to not have pay anyone. So anyway.... story goes that Anna set her sights on him first. Then Elsa. Anna was out for a walk at the time, contemplating the woes of not being as powerful and popular as her sister. Then all of a sudden as a cold, strong wind blew by, once the snow settled, there he stood, love at first sight. She was speechless. And then stuttered a bit. By the time she could untie her tongue, he was gone as quickly as he had appeared near her. At the same time apparently her sister just saw him as well. But claims that she did so first. No telling what the true tale is, but in the meantime, they have been giving each other the cold shoulder treatment. It ain't pretty either. Sigh.......

When we were at DL a few weeks ago, we had to get a FP. It was a FP that allowed us to queue in a very long line, of about 50 minutes.

wow that kind of defeats the purpose of a "fast"pass huh? either way i will have to wait it out. what else can I do with 2 frozen fanatics aka daughters.

Yes. We walked in the building and got in line, but literally only waited 5 minutes!

We visited last week, around 7pm with an 8pm closing and waited about 15 minutes. Mornings I've heard can be longer but I'm not sure how things have been this holiday week. Can anyone report if they have brought fast pass back for the "peak" times?

I took my little cousin a week ago and we happened to walk into the Animation building at about 7PM when the park was closing at 8PM. This was a Tuesday. There was only a 20 minute wait so we went ahead and did it. The Olaf wait was only about 10 to 15 minutes at the same time

We went at Rope Drop on Nov 14th and we got right in. Wait seemed short all morning. CM said no more FP's.

I was there on Monday around 3:30 and had maybe a 5 minute wait? The park was crazy that day, too

No kidding. DL is my home park but we're making the cross country trip to WDW for the first time in about 5 weeks. A/E FP+ are "sold out" for several of my days. We got them early, but the entire WDW planning experience has been bizarre.

When I was there early October they were actually walking around asking people hanging out in the Animmation Academy if they wanted to see Anna and Elsa.

Man, and here I waited 45 minutes in August and thought that was good compared to what it was a year ago. Hoping the wait for the Snow Fest is short when we go 2 weeks from today because we missed it last year and were totally bummed.

I will be honest and say that we didn't pay a lot of attention to the Anna and Elsa situation, but we were in the animation studio for a while on Thursday and again on Friday. There are no fastpasses for the meet and greet anymore. There was a significant looking line both afternoons that we walked by, but I can't give you any idea of wait times. We did walk into the Snow Fest area one day, and that was super mellow. There really weren't all that many people in there, so I don't think it would have been much of any wait for the snow activities. We didn't see Olaf.
