Well, they do have pirate themed day, but not the big activities as in the past. I found this info on a recent navigator:DH and I are sailing SATURDAY and wanted to know if we need to bring our Pirate attire. We have our Star Wars and formal night stuff ready, just wondering if we need Pirates too.
People run the full gamut of clothing from casual to full formal. (Formal and semi formal nights are optional vs required dress codes..Palo/Remy have specific requirements.) DH wears a sports jacket/blazer, dress shirt and nice khakis/chinos for formal and semi nights. What do most men wear for formal night? Should I bring a suit or is a blazer with slacks and a dress shirt good? Just looked on the website and didn’t see much information.
I'll just say - there's no need to bring separate outfits for each day. Take mix & match separates and you'll get more outfits than you need. Also, rewearing items that only got worn a few hours one day stretches a small wardrobe. Others onboard are not going to remember that you wore that shirt, or those pants previously.I think we're going to end up with his and hers suitcases, plus another for costumes/formal wear/accessories! LOL
I don’t see anything about a Pirate night on our upcoming sailing on the Dream. How are people supposed to plan ahead if it’s not even listed as an event?
There isn't an official pirate night anymore. There's just a "buccaneer takeover", which is bandanas and a mini show at dinner, the pirate menu, and fireworks. No deck party, though. People still dress up, but it's not an official "thing", so I guess that's why it isn't listed on the itinerary.
If you're on a 4-night Dream sailing, though, then "pirate night" will be on night 3.
There’s also self-service laundry, and also full-service laundry/dry cleaning aboard.I think we're going to end up with his and hers suitcases, plus another for costumes/formal wear/accessories! LOL
