currency rate again...

Ah thanks for clearing that up Bozza! Now that makes more sense. Well I got some of mine today for $1.83 so I'm happy. :banana: *fingers crossed it goes up a bit more before I need to get the remainder of my money!*
 
That's why I like Citibank - commission free exchange at business not tourist rates. I buy when the exchange rate is good and then still get interest on my US$ (though nowhere near as good interest as in starling but getting good exchange rate more than makes up for that)
 
For conversion I keep a little home made credit card size chart in my purse listing what 1,2,3,4,5,10,15,20 euros is at the exchange rate I get, when we go to USA for the first time I'll do the same but I know I've got to add on tax on purchases but I'll know how much I'm spending and if its too much in my opinion. I've had experience of being ripped off in Paris, you get carried away especially with children.
 

I keep a currency chart too lol, but tend to just think two $ to a pound lol I wish
