Ok, have ordered some dollars from Crown Currency but now I am wondering about putting some extra cash onto a currency card......

So my question is this...

Who 'holds' our money when it is put onto a currency card??
Is a private company or a bank??

Also, I have found 2 currency cards, Fairfx and Travelex, are there any others I should know about??

Thanks in advance,

Ali :goodvibes

there are now loads of currency cards out there- post office, tesco, caxtonfx, etc
i got a fairfx one a few weeks ago, they are to do with the newcastle building society.

The Tesco card is also backed by Newcastle Building Society, don't know about the others.

Thanks for that Netty!:thumbsup2
The Fairfx one seems to be pretty popular on here.....

I seem to have switched my attention from car hire to exchange rates :lmao:
Must get the car sorted soon too :goodvibes

I have a Fairfx card+also recommend it :thumbsup2 .I have also used Fairfx for some $$ as well.x.

hmm - I am not a fan of currency cards.

We used one a while back and found it very hard to check the current balance. |There was also a charge if you tried to take cash out on it. Things might be different now but it wasnt worth the hassle.
