Don't know since I'm not a fashion guru but I do know you definitely don't want it to look like this. :rotfl:

How do you know that, I actually like that photo!! :rotfl:

I have very wavy/curly hair, and when I straighten it (a process which takes 30 minutes, and in this humidity lasts about the same amount of time  ), people always say, "Oh, but your hair looks so good curly."

I don't know why I fight it.

Well, since I always have curly hair, I'll just say that it's always in at my house!

Is your hair really straight usually? Have you had a perm before?

My hair has a little curl to it but is not curly and not straight!
Yes I've had perms in high school many years ago! Its been a while.

There was a makeover show on tv not long ago, and they said that perms have come a long way from when everyone had them back in the 80's/90's. They said the process is not as harsh as it was, and can leave your hair feeling much better than the older perm-formulations.

My suggestion would be to find a hairstyle that works with what your hair wants to do.

I say invest in some decent hot rollers rather then a perm.
and, according to the bajillion magazines I get a month, it's 'soft waves'...not "curls" for fall. heheh

That's a really great idea. That way, you could change your hair to different looks without a permanent commitment.

Wavy or curly hair isn't "out" right now but perms have been since the '80's.

It's always in at my house too! It takes a stylist about 45 minutes to straighten it. So that's the only time it gets done. lol My arms get too tired.

Myst

Curly is in right now according to magazines. YAY, I have curly hair!
But I just bought a great straightener that can flatten my hair in 15 minutes, and make it shiny, soft and smooth for 2-3 days. So I alternate. One day straight, one day curly.

Who cares if it's out or in?? If you think you would like to have curly hair, go for it! :)

The exact same thoughts I have with my curly hair. I spend $300 every 10-11 months to chemically straighten mine.....had it for 27 years and that was 27 years too many.

Its generally those with curls that want straight and those with straight that wants curls

I agree. I haven't seen anyone get a perm in eons.

Well I've decided just to get it highlighted.

Thanks for all your input!
