Since all i've done this entire week is interview, I was curious how many interviews some of you went on for the jobs you are in now. I had 6 interviews at one company the first round, but I guess at least I didn't have to come back multiple times.

I am scheduled for a 3rd interview at one company early next week, that's what got me thinking about this.

Not me. Usually I have one initial interview, then get called back for a second one. I never had to go to a 3rd interview. Maybe it's because I work in a relatively low-level field (clerical)?

My brother is having a 3rd interview tomorrow. He's a manager-level type.

GOOD LUCK with the job hunt!

Let's see.
This job: career 'event' at unemployment office; call to confirm interest and arrange online testing; group informational session; telephone interview; in-person interview; job offer,
Prior job(s: same job, three companies, same basic job, due to changes of ownership/management): general interview at employment agency; called back, sent on initial interview for 'wrong' job*; called back for a different job, escorted partway to location by agency rep (?), interviewed with immediate supervisor, interviewed with department manager in same appointment, recieved call from employment agency offering full-time permanent job - apparently unusual, with typical/subsequent hiring being temp-to-perm.
Previous/concurrent job: doesn't really count. Friend: "Hey, are you still looking for a part time job? [Husband] is looking for a key closer/shift supervisor for the drugstore he manages."
Me: "Sure." Went to store, completed application, got hired; friend's husband got let go after another year, I lasted eight more years, through about ten managers and sixteen assistant managers :)

*as advised by interviewer, went back to agency and told this to rep so they knew I didn't mess up the interview; my experience was, it turned out, only a VERY small part of the actual position, and only as backup

I'm a recruiter for a management consultancy. Typically we only do two rounds of in person interviews but fairly regularly this stretches into three.

We are a small company and like to make sure the person is absolutely right before making a hiring decision. The CEO likes to get multiple opinions of the person. Annoying sometimes, as the process can drag on for months due to conflicting schedules, travel arrangements, etc.

I am interviewing for a new position at the moment but have only been on a couple first round interviews this week so far. Still waiting to hear back but both of them should only be a two round process.

I don't think my DH has gone on more than 2 interviews - although there may have been an initial phone interview so I guess you can count that as 3.

He has currently gone on two interviews for the current job he is hoping to get.
