Curious: Upgrade to APs if Restructuring Occurs

My husband and I have 6-day hoppers (purchased through Disney) for our summer trip. If tiered pricing happens, changing the ticket structure, will Disney likely still take our MYW PHs at their $414 value toward an AP upgrade?

I know this is all speculation, but I'm curious if anyone has solid logic about how Disney might handle these situations. Thanks!

In this case, I'm hopeful they would honor that $414 toward the $800 (hopefully) price. It's hard to imagine a scenario where that wouldn't be beneficial to Disney. Right?

Edit: I guess it would be beneficial to Disney to just make me purchase more tickets for repeat trips. Here's hoping whatever happens is even-handed!
