Hey there! I have a curious question. And another question...Does anyone know if there are permanent residents at any of the Disneyland resort hotels? I know that theres the Florida residence community . So , i was wondering if one could just set up permanent residence here at the DLR? Also, what is the longest one could stay in a DLR hotel? Thanks!

What does this mean?

There are no permanent residents in Wdw hotels.

And owning dvc doesn’t give you residency.
Actually , i wasn't asking about WDW hotels. I was speaking about the golden oak. I hadnt meantioned the dvc time share. But , thanks.

There are not. The longest reservation you can usually books is for 30 nights, which I believe is due to squatters rights.

This.

I had an associate that was put up in a hotel for three months for a contract work stay and they had to check out and check back in every 30 days do to this. They worked it out with the manager so it could be done.

He wound up with a LOT of hotel points at the end of that contract!

If you could get past the checking-out-every-30-days rule, and managed to get a good nightly rate, you'd still be paying quite a sum to live at DLR in one of the hotels. I'm guessing with taxes and possibly parking you'd be close to $200,000/year for just a room with no cooking facilities. It might be fun to do for a while but you'd really have to love Disneyland and have a fat wallet! I'm glad it's not something people do (as far as I know) because it would make it even harder to get reservations if people began living in the hotels.

ETA: I've heard of elderly people doing this on cruise ships, though, and thought it was kind of a cool idea.

I'd do it if I could!!! Even if I had to vacate every 30 days.

Hmmm, 30 days at the Grand, a couple of nights at the DLH, then back to the Grand.

Yep, that'll work!!!

Lol i would , too. Honestly. I was just asking as a fun lighthearted question. Isnt it everyones fantasy to live in the resort? Lol i just wonder , when money isnt an issue, that there would be private " unspoken " living quarters on property.

It looks like there are subdivisions all around DLR so all you'd have to do is buy one of those houses or condos. Some of them are probably even closer to the parks than Golden Oaks.
