Curious? How many pay there dues right away?

We've always paid annually. I never realized you could pay in installments until this year. I guess I need to pay better attention, huh?

Monthly payments too. Unless you can give me a great reason to do it another way?

We do it monthly. For some reason it just seems like less when I pay a little bit each month as opposed to one lump payment. For us I guess it is just easier to manage.

Pre-DVC we would use Disney Visa rewards towards our hotel and dining. Now we use the rewards to pay our dues so we pay in a lump sum at the beginning of the year.

We pay all in Feb. with the Disney Visa. Next time home is in 4 1/2 weeks. Will stay two weeks at OKW. Can not wait. Its been another long winter.:cool1::banana::hippie:

i cannot believe i never thought about paying with the disney visa, what a great idea!!!

Monthly... It's just easier for us... We have our electric and gas setup on budget plans to have a "fixed" monthly payment rather than the fluctuations from high in the summer to lower in Winter for electric, and reversed for gas. Glad they offer that because even at times I've been out of work, I can make a 50 dollar payment but coming up with it all at once would have been hard.

Monthly. Until they start charging some sort of fee for doing so, it's an interest free loan. The rewards dollars aren't, to me, worth it.

What I typically do is figure out (based on that years rate) what a year of dues is going to cost, take it out of my tax refund, and throw it in our savings account. I then transfer the amount out of savings, into checking, every month....and whatever we earn in interest just continues to sit there and earn interest, year after year.

I know that this post was from a couple of months ago.. but it got me thinking...

You pay your dues every month because its "an interest free loan" but then you take your tax refund and put it in your savings? Isn't that giving the government "an interest free loan" :confused3
