Curious about yearly release of FD promo

I'm just wondering something. Disney has offered FD in the fall since 2005. We have gone every year that it has been offered and have booked BB every year before we left except I think first year because they either didn't offer or we were not aware of it. It seem every year there are a lot of people anxiously waiting for the FD promo to be released. I guess what I'm curious about is are there that many new people who want to go yearly. Or do people go every other year. Or do some of you just not book BB because you are not aware of the promo or unsure of your plans for the following year. I am very fortunate to have been able to go every year for FD. We book BB every year even if we are unsure if we can go. I just can't handle the stress of waiting every year. I get stressed out seeing everyone else on here waiting :). Anyway, just curious like I said. Hope it is released soon for you all.

I booked BB the past 2 years. I don't think I was aware of it before then. I'm sure glad I did this year. This waiting is crazy. I sure hope they have FD for the public. I have friends that want to go to WDW, but probably won't if FD doesn't come out.

We went last year and had the dining plan but NO free dining. We didn't know about the bounceback or else we would have booked it but then again we didn't have free dining. Since coming to this board we have learnt so much...making advanced reservations, free dining, PIN codes, bouncebacks! One thing that was really important to us was the advanced reservations, last year when we went to WDW we had the dining plan but had to use all of our table service meals as quick service because everywhere we went they were booked. Didn't make that mistake again! :rotfl: But I was surprised to see how many restaurant are already full for the dates we are going (Le Cellier) is one that DH really wanted to go to and we are having to do a lunch because all the dinner times that would work for us are booked. We have two young children so eating at 9:00pm wouldn't work well for us. :rolleyes1 This time we will book a bounceback offer if there is one...but we will see how these dates work for us this time around, normally we go at the end of November so this is all new to us. :)

Wow, it sounds like you had a good time anyway but to purchase the dining plan and not be able to use sit down meals, I'm sure that wasn't what you thought would have happened. Again, I was lucky enough to book BB and have already made all my dining reservation with no problem at all. We are going two weeks this year. Hopefully, they will offer BB for 2011 as this will be our last year we will be able to go. Kids go to year round schools and are off in September however, our daughter will enter high school after that and we will no longer have off then.

We went in August 2008 because of the FD offer. We had planned on going in 2009, but the FD allowed us to go a year earlier. We did not receive a BB offer during our stay and would not have booked it anyway. We cannot afford to go to Disney every year even with the FD offer. We are planning to go again in August 2011 and I'm desperately hoping that FD will be offered again. We'll go whether the offer is made or not because I'll have had enough time to save a decent amount to pay for the trip, but if FD is made available then we'll be able to stay at a moderate hotel instead of value.
