Well, I guess it could be for the men if they fall into the make-up wearing category. :confused3 ;)

I don't really want to get into a debate about make-up brands, I was just curious to see who out there wears make-up and how much they wear (i.e. just lipstick and mascara, or the whole kit and caboodle)

I started wearing make-up in high school like alot of others and haven't stopped. I need my make-up. I feel nekked without my "face" on, and haven't been out of the house without it in maybe 17 or 18 years!! (I have roseacea though so it's a little different for me. I am scary without it.) :scared:

I have 4 kids and when I went to the hospital for each, I'd say I was just as concerned with how I was going to keep my make-up on during delivery as I was about the pain!! :lmao:

(no flames, I already know it's nuts but we all have our quirks) :teeth:

I'm the same way. I always wear full make-up which includes moisturizer and skin treatments, foundation, powder, eyebrow pencil, eyshadow, eyeliner, blush, and mascara. Sometimes I will wear lipstick, but not always. I work from home so I usually will only put on lipstick if I go out - but always when I go out. And just like you, I don't care if I'm at the beach, at WDW, or in the delivery room having a baby I'm going to be wearing my make-up!

Since high school, I have been wearing foundation. I've always had pretty good skin, but it has never been even so the foundation helps with that. Now, I have rosacea at 42!!

I now use Bare Escentuals foundation, their Warmth, and their Mineral Veil. I use American Beauty eye shadow (from Kohl's), Lancome eyeliner, and L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. Sometimes I use lipstick/gloss, sometimes not.

Oh, and I was so proud after I gave birth to my son. It was fairly easy and the nurse said to me afterwards "Hey, you didn't even get your hair messed up!!"

Only wear make up for special occasions. Even then I pay the price with breakouts. Have tried many many brands and my face continues to let me know that it wants to go naked

Depends. Most days I wear a moisturiser, a bit of pressed powder to just take the shine off my face, a bit of eyeliner, mascara, and a tinted lip gloss.

I wear makeup a lot. But sometimes I go outside without any one. When I put some on it's usually an under eye difuser (I get some really dark circles under my eyes from either allergies or not enough sleep.), blush, eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrow pencil (cause otherwise you cant see my brows.),blush and lipstick/lipgloss. I don't usually put on foundation cause it casues me to break out. But I do use Oil of Olay daily face cream with UV protectorant in it. So that is me. lol On I am a jewlry freak though. I cannot leave the house without earrings, rings, necklace and bracelts. So that is my hang up. :rotfl:

If I wear makeup (and that's a big If) the only thing I use is mascara. I love the way my eyes look when I wear it, but I don't remember to put it on. I used to put it on during my train ride (mascara isn't smelly, right?) but now that I ride the very early train, I prefer to sleep.

On a day to day basis I don't wear any make-up, just moisturizer. But then again, I have darker eye brows and eye lashes. Occassionally I'll just go with mascara. If there's a special event I'll wear make-up, but then it's only mascara, small amount of blush and eye shadow/liner. I used to wear A LOT of make-up, but it took to much time and effort. DH says he prefers me with no make-up so it's easier to just go without.

I don't wear any make-up.
I did wear some blush & foundation years ago,
but never knew how to use it properly. Also that I would fall asleep without washing my face sometimes.

When I got married I had a Mary Kay women do my make-up.
Everyone couldn't believe how good it looked. Of course they knew I didn't do by myself. :rotfl:

I wear make-up almost every day. On days when I stay home, or just run to the grocery for a few things, I may not bother with it. I also wear bare escentuals; their foundation, blush, mineral veil, eyeshadow, liner, mascara. I'm still looking for the perfect mascara, and find that expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. ;) I'm not much on lipstick, but love a tinted gloss. I usually wear Lancome's juicy tubes.

I do wear it everyday to work. But on the weekend sometimes it is just mascara and eyeshadow to give my eyes that little something to pop.

I wear lipstick but sometimes forget to reapply later in the day. :confused3

I wear it all, every day, everywhere. You name it, I wear it. Except false eyelashes and thats only because I don't know how to put them on....LOL....I have sooooo much makeup that I can open up a store. Between high end brands and some drug store stuff, I have spent a fortune and continue to do so. I have bags and boxes filled with the stuff.

I wear makeup to work so that I don't look like a ghost who just rolled out of bed. I have very fair skin and blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. So I wear mascara, powder and blush everyday to work. People probably wouldn't recognize me without it. On days off or weekends, forget it. I couldn't be bothered. I will wear makeup on special occasions though. I usually go all out then.

And isn't it odd, I used to work for a cosmetic store. We had to have on: foundation, mascara, powder, blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick. I have tons of nice makeup from working there but now I have no patience to put it on. :guilty:

i don't know how to use make up. never wear it.

but i do sunscreen all the time.

i do buy makeup and it goes in a box just in case i want to learn how to use it.

i have stuff that is 10 years old. think it would go fast in a yard sale???
it's never been opened.

i have decided that on my birthday this year, i am going to try to do make up and not look like a clown with it on.
i'm gearing up for a ladies dis trip to the mother land and want to look like the others.

I wear make up everyday when I work or go to church. If I am going shopping on Sat I'll put it on makeup. Foundation, eyes, and usually lipstick (an almost nude shade). If I am on vacation or just hang out around the house then I give my face and hair a break.

I'm a SAHM and I wear make-up everyday, it's just part of my routine getting up before the kids. Once it's on though, that's it, no messing with it. I wear moisturizer, foundation, concealer, eyeliner, and mascara. When I go out of the house I usually put on a little lip gloss. Out with dh I'll put on lipstick and sometimes eyeshadow. My sil, dear friend and neighbor (she's all one person!) just started selling Mary Kay, so I don't know if I'll be forced to buy/wear more! :rotfl:

Hey momma! :wave2:

Ooooo, I love makeup! I rarely wear it when I'm just going to be at home all day; but if I'm going out, I'll do everything: light brushing of BE foundation and Pure Luxe's April's Mix finishing powder; BE, Pure Luxe or MAC eyeshadows; MAC eyebrow pencil/Bobbi Brown filler shadow; MAC or BE blush; MAC, Pure Luxe or BE shadow wetlined with Paula Dorf's Transformer for eyeliner (and/or MAC Gel Liners); L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara and MAC lip color. I also like to use lip balm dipped in BE or Pure Luxe eyeshadows/blushes for really pretty lip color.

Make-up is a must for me. I wear most of it, except lipstick. I just do plain old carmex on my lips. It is addictive, I buy it by the box. The worst thing about wearing make-up for me is taking it off. It takes about 20 minutes to put it on, and 2 minutes to take it off, yet I dread that part. :confused3

No makeup here, but I used to. I feel so much freer than I did when I wore it all the time. I spent a lot of money on different brands and colors, and I spent too much time in front of the mirror. Now I just slap on some moisturizer and go. If I have to look professional, I put on some mascara, eye shadow and blush. I've also discovered Neutrogena mineral foundation, so I put it on and it feels like nothing -- it just smooths the skin tone out a bit.

DH prefers women without makeup. He hates it all, so that was part of my decision to go without. But even if he liked it, I still would have drifted away from it.

I wear makeup every day. Somedays it is more subtle but I still wear it everyday. IMO, a face doesn't look done w/o lipstick. I have a client who wears everything--eyeliner and the whole shabang but never wears lipstick. She looks unfinished. One day she came in with lipcolor on (just a tinted gloss) and looked So much better! JMHO.
I think it would wonderful to be one of those people who didn't *need* to wear makeup and yet they still look great.
