I'm one of those people that's never really tired when it's time for bed, and even when I am it's difficult to fall right to sleep. My DH could fall asleep standing up in a corner
. The problem is that my mind races. I've tried several relaxation techniques, but my mind always ends up eventually wandering to other things. It's not always worrisome things - just anything. So a couple of months ago I started taking trips to MK (my favorite park). I would lay down, close my eyes and take a deep breath. I always start by walking from halfway between the resort bus stops and the entrance. I glance down and see our families brick (we don't have one, but it's my "dream" 
, then go through the turn styles (no line, no checking bags - again, this is my dream), and head under the train station bridge. It's always when I come out on the other side of that when I know I've "arrived". I enjoy my journey down Main Street, being sure to take in all the little details. I don't usually go into any stores, but stop and look at window displays. IF I make it to the end of Main Street, I turn left towards Aventureland. I've never made it to Fantasyland before I'm in Neverneverland
. My DH thinks this is just another example of my being obsessed by Disney, but admits he's glad to see me falling asleep some nights before he even does. For years when my kids have had scary dreams or been "afraid" to go to sleep, I've suggested thinking about Disney World and it always worked to calm them down. I should have taken my own advice a long time ago.
