Near as I can tell, all the free cupcakes look about the same...chocolate cupcake, white frosting, Mickey sprinkles & a birthday candle. Some have a little Mickey wafer candy on top. They're cute, but not all that good - just cake. In May, DH got a free birthday cupcake at 1900 Park Fare (which was kind of silly, since it's a buffet with an entire dessert station anyway. So who wants a mundane cupcake?) He did not get one anywhere else in a week of table service restaurants. We saw them being delivered at other restaurants, but I think a lot of places don't give out the free birthday cupcake if you're on the dining plan, because they know you'll be choosing a dessert.
This month, in a week of table service restaurants, I got the same kind of cupcake at Kouzzina. And that was it for the whole week. Everywhere else, they just stuck a candle in whatever dessert I ordered (on the dining plan.)
If you want one of those really special looking cakes delivered to the table, you have to order one (and pay $$$ for it, lol.)
