that "within a few hours" of the dollar hitting parity that DisneyWorld officials (they called them the largest marketing machine in the world) went live to "try to woo Canadians." I'm wondering if that means some good Canadians discounts being offered in the near future.

There is a 1/2page ad in todays Toronto Star. With Fairy Godmother I didn't read it all but the main part was that the dollar is at par and its 1600 $ for a 6 night package for 2 adults 2 children.

Our grand family vacation will be in October 2008. How can I access that offer (I'm in Vancouver, BC so no physical access to Eastern Canadian newspapers - I checked the Toronto Star online, but no Disney ads there).

Umm, just wanted to remind you Toronto is central Canada! Those of us really in the East (or as my dh says, "the far East") don't consider the Star a local paper. I know, I know, everything east of the Rockies is east to you! (I used to live in Victoria.) OTOH, growing up in Corner Brook NF I thought that's what they meant when they said "West Coast" (other side of our island from St. John's!).

Hope you get a deal, wouldn't that be nice! Maybe you'd be more likely to see similar ads for Disneyland?

My sister and her family flew from Victoria last Feb to join us in Orlando--long haul for them. Her partner likes DL (sis has never been) but WDW won out b/c we also got to go to Kennedy Space Centre. Lord, though, that time change would kill the first several days of any vacation for me...

Just checked the Disney.ca site to see what was being said....says basically that with the Strong canadian dollar that Disney is now more affordable than ever. Yep...we knew that!

Isn't that over 10 and under 16? Or something...There's an age at which you are too old for a kid's ticket but don't get charged full adult price for the room?

I haven't a clue? I thought your either under 10 and a kid or over ten and a adult at Disney.

Ten is considered an adult at Disney for the dining plan and MNSHP .

My son just turned ten is happy he can eat free from the adult menu. But I was not happy to pay an adult price for the party....

We leave tomorrow....

junior is up to age 17 as far as I know as up to 17 they dont get charged as an adult for the room. 10 and over you have to get them an adult ticket and they are considered under as an adult for dining plans.
